Guys,

I own a Waja 2003 4G18. Lately everytime I switch the air-con on after a few hours not using hte car I get a musty odour from the air-con vent for the first 20 seconds or so. As far as I know - waja does not have the air-con cabin filter... Anyone have any Idea what can cause this.........and how to solve.
*
got one forrumer selling aircon filter said waja got filter under the cabin there, but i oso never check it before, i want to buy oso because my aircon same like you, got bad small, haihhhh,

I'm very sure 4G18 engine waja aircon do not have the cabin filter. I have a complete unit with blower and cooling coil take out during conversion. But campro model i'm not sure.

add sound deading material such as dynamat on the firewall to "reduce" the engine noise.

to be more concise, it's a filter-dryer

filters out foul smell, and dry out excess humidity

don't decat! cry.gif

imagine everytime your wife/gf, son/daughter, relatives, friends, cat/dog stand nearby when you start the car. They breathe in Cancer-causing toxic fumes....... cry.gif icon_question.gif

nowadays modern catalytic converters are so advanced that they won't effect FC or performance la.

Why do you think decat is ILLEGAL in USA, Singapore, Europe, Australia, and all modern countries?
Only third world countries like Malaysia and Indonesia not yet set the law.

Did u saw any bus or lorry in USA, SG, EU and Aus with thick black smoke?
If really wanna save the earth, then use solar or battery powered car.
As long there is burning of petrol it will release toxic, cat-con is there to reduce not eleminate.

Regardless how advance the cat-con is, as long it is restriction type that causes performance drop.
