Which bank do you guys think provide the lousiest service.

I have this bank upfront immediately

1) Maybank - TAIPAN ( Usually no one but when i open a FD , it takes more than 30 minutes of waiting time.... i was pissed with the counter staff when i discover my FD is still on the officer table and the officer was doing something else. They are aware of me but y are they doing this...I call this BLACK HEART.

2) CIMB - Another BLACK HEART discover. I called the HQ KL to check if i am able to request my atm transaction printout from any branch rather than going to my Account Bank in Subang Jaya. So i went to Taipan instead and the Counter Staff said that I have to go back to where i open my bank account.. I was pissed and call the HQ KL and clarify... Finally , they insisted the CIMB Manager and the staff to do it in Taipan.

3) Stan Chart- Call HQ KL to check if i can withdraw FD out from Taipan because i open it in FD Penang. According to KL HQ, I can do it but according to the branch, i can't withdraw the money but have to give standing instruction to request penang branch to deliver the cheque to me..

I don't want to sound racist here but most of these people are from one race that you and i already know.....

When one creates a topic here, it's best to substantiate the claims with opinions to support the claim.
So in this case, we're saying lousy; so pls speak out your mind on why "lousy".

If there's no further elaboration it would be a pointless thread which is more like an emotional raging.

Thus if there's nothing more to discuss; I'll close it down.

MBB - Average. Nothing special about them except M2U.

CIMB - Some branch are good while some sucks. CIMBClicks is pretty good too I must say. Im starting to switch to CIMBClicks more as its faster and doesnt pick browser.

UOB - Very good service because not much people use it, but I already terminate my account with them because need to have minimum amount in it, if not will be charged a small amount.

HSBC - Also very good but their internet banking sucks la. I dont know why the security pincode device generated numbers also out of sequence one. Always have to call to reset the sequence. Good as in their customer service and also their CC.

PBB - No need say anything. TOP CLASS!!!

If ask me to choose, I would say either MBB or RHB is the lousiest. I still remember those 2 RHB branches in Jinjang and Kepong before their upgrade sucks like hell. Queues are long and difficult to find parking. AMBank in Kepong Baru also same problem. Slow like shit.

The best no need say liao lar. No one can beat them, not even HSBC, UOB or Citibank. The winner for me is PBB. FAST and EFFICIENT.

Hands down, Maybank. Off the top of my head;

Inefficient - Always long queue at their branches. There was once I waited an hour plus before I get my turn at the Bukit Bintang branch. Just horrendous.

Messy and lousy system - Always some unknown misc charges.

Absurd - There was one time I wanna open a joint account with my mum, they asked me for my birth certificate to prove our relationship. rolleyes.gif

Unknowledgeable - Whenever u ask them (branch staffs) some questions, they are either not sure or ask u to wait and then check with some other staffs.

Snobby - Unfriendly staffs with extremely poor attitude; some are borderline rude.

Hong Leong is a distant second for me.

PBB is recently voted the Best Asian Bank. Beating the best bank of every country in Asia include singapore, china and japan.
I agree wif ur bold part. There was once i ask one of the staff abt SSPN acc, she told me to wait and she go into somewhere asking other ppl. I waited for 20min, got fed up and ask the staffs around where is she. They just say duno. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Let me share my past experience of PBB service.
There was once my parents n I goin to PBB for normal banking service. As we passed thru PBB, my dad was shocked as he saw the bank was so crowded. Therefore he asked my mom to queue and take the no. 1st while he go and park his car somewhere. Tis time my mom got shocked as once my press the no. and jz 2 to 3 minutes later her no. was popped out at the screen indicate which counter she should go.

definitely

Maybank is the worst.

once i went to help me friend create a new account at the Maybank near APIIT in TPM.
since we were both 21, we just show IC and can create new account.

But the "smart" lady serving us insisted on us showing our student ID and passport for whatever reason i never knew.
Even after we told her we were local and above 18 so what for need student ID and passport, she still wanted to see it.
Needless to say we just left.

also their new M2U is web 2.0 but the even better part is that our gov wanna skip to web 3.0 instead. Shows what the bank is doing with money.

also after 3rd transaction each month you get charged , and they also charge for some crazy shit every other month.

CIMB -
I have no complains except that i always mistake the uptown branch for a hotlink center. and end up have to drive back to get to the bank.

AMBANK -
only complain i have is that they will always bounce my cheque if my name on the cheque is not 100% matching with the account name.
even when 1 alphabet is missing or misspelt they call me to collect my bounce cheque, no matter whether the acc no. hp no. is correct as written on the back of the cheque.

The question is very subjective. I've experienced all types of services from various banks and it really depends not on which bank but rather which branch of a bank and which employees you have to deal with.

I see a lot of people knocking Maybank and I wouldn't have disagreed but visit their branch at the Curve and you'll be pleasantly surprised how good their service is there. CIMB Curve is also exceptionally good. In fact the service in CIMB Curve is so damn good (it is their exemplary branch after all) I wanted to transfer all my main accounts with them straight away but in the end, my decision was to stick with Maybank because face it, Maybank not only has the widest accessibility, it has the best online banking as well ...hands down...no competition.

hahahha... HSBC is still using dinosaur internet technology on the stupid device to access internet banking...
its a matter of time either HSBC adapt to the latest technology or end up like the 3 US automobile begging for government funds because of their arrogant...

Ah of course, that is in my personal opinion. Quite a few other banks have pretty decent online banking which can do pretty much most of the things that most people would need. I base my opinion though in the sense that M2U has been around for such a long time and it has been reliable throughout the years with a relatively stable platform. Best thing is they constantly strive to upgrade their online banking facilities. Once again though most importantly is it's accessibility. There is a reason why people prefer M2U over other banks for their online transactions. Payment facilities like ipay88 and FPX no doubt has bridged the gap a lot in recent times but there are still a lot of areas not covered which M2U (and I notice recently CIMB Clicks) makes up for. You just have to look no further than at the Garage Sales section to see what I mean.

PBB. They will ask you to actually personally go to Penang to withdraw your FD. Only in my case, different town and branch.

I got so mad that I called up PBB HQ and of course, they say the officer dealing with me was wrong and apologize. But the damage done.

Otherwise, PBB walk-in service for everyone is absolutely the best there is.

in my experience, the worst bank ever is RHB....

I got a housing loan from them few years back and entitled a free holiday package ... so i faxed over a few dates to book and they said they will faxed and e-mail me the confirmation letter ....... however i never receive anything from them ... i called their cs 3 times a day from morning til evening but no 1 answer ... feeling tulan i go to their branch and asked ... tht dumb cs say she dunno anything bout this so i request she call the department involve n clarify ... then she say she dunno the number n she ask me to call myself shakehead.gif

how come a banker dunno cs internal line no.? she think i stupid ar ... so i get more tulan n call cs every now n then ... after dozens of calls finally some1 answer ... i asked y i didnt received any letter n she said she e-mailed to me ... i check but nothing n at last found out they so dumb they left out an alphabet in my e-mail address ... so i say "y u ppl din bother to call or faxed even an e-mail has been sent??? when u didnt receive any reply from me,u shud haf called to confirm if i'd seen tht e-mail" and their reply was " we already sent , so we dun care already" ... and the best thing when i ask them to resend " oh the letter was expired so your holiday was consider rejected , we cant issue anymore letter " vmad.gif

imho, hsbc is stil the best bank

cc a lot benefit, annual fee waiver very easy,cs very good
for the internet banking i think the security device works better than TAC ... no nid to request and wait ... i;ve tried maybank n hong leong ... sometimes waited 1 hr onli got the tac doh.gif

M2U web based banking could be better if they allow to download transaction in excel format or something similar.
