Hi i saw Deka fans at Brothers Electrical in Bandar Baru Ampang. How u find Deka fans so far? Good?

I plan to buy few Deka fans for my apartment and they quote me as below:-

1. Deka Q8 Gun Metal (60") - RM450
http://deka.my/index.php?option=com_conten...d=66&Itemid=253

2. Deka F5 Gun Metal (56") - RM180
http://deka.my/index.php?option=com_conten...d=61&Itemid=209

3. Deka Baby 6 Gun Metal (48")- RM190

Is it a good brand and a good buy? Appreciate your help, thanks!  rclxms.gif

SS2 Legend?

Went to Wong Lighting and Legend yesterday for ceiling fans by KDK. For the 2 models I'm looking at, was quoted the prices as follows.

K14Z9
Wong lighting: RM490
Legend SS2: RM480

K14Y9-MP
Wong lighting: RM330
Legend SS2: RM300

Is this cheap? I've really no idea when it comes to electrical items.

Is it the same model?
Diffrent models have the same number of blades. other features such as speed, design and sensor changes the price.
If not then you are comparing apple to oranges.

Top 10 only offer few ringgit difference compare to Legend.

Wong Lighting is slightly more expensive, but if you buy all the light there and only get few fan than get from Wong Lighting is ok, don't have to travel, parking, and time on other place.

When I brought my lighting @ Wong Lighting, I want 7 fans from them, but the sales lady told me one or two she will sell, but since I need 7 ask me go other place which is cheaper biggrin.gif

Top ten is a shop in puchong near tesco puchong.
the shop is yellow/ orange in colour facing ldp highway
True, if u're getting 2 or more fans it's worth it to travel there if not don't bother. But do your own survey and judge for yourself.

kdk and panasonic fans are the safest bet. if anything wrong with them, no fret, just call the hotline, and they will send someone over to rectify (under warranty period) for free, or a service charge if over warranty. you know the traditional fans with the regulator on the wall, these can last for ages!

yes, nowadays, a lot of new variance and evolution have been seen. so it's still ur choice.... tongue.gif

Hi, I am using an Alpha celing fan with remote control (3 speed, Low, Medium, Hi). Currently, the remote is working (tested it with other Alpha fan installed in my house).
The problem is with the ceiling fan. Whenever power button (on wall) is swittched on, the ceiling fan will turn at the highest speed. Remote control could not control the fan's speed, as well as the on/off function.
I suspect the "Receiver" of the fan is not working....

Can I ask if any expert here would like to share and let me know how to deal with this issue? I have contacted service center and changing the "receiver" would cost about RM100 including service charge... =)

Cheers and thanks in advance. =)

i heard also problem with the electronic PCB. if KDK or Panasonic, I have a friend who just buy the PCB and change it. remote control no problem. but Alpha, don't know can do the same. Will try to ask him.
that's why I always advocate KDK/Panasonic biggrin.gif the simplest one is the best(with wall regulator), never have any problem, last donkey years.... but heck, very old fashion tongue.gif
