Hi, I am using an Alpha celing fan with remote control (3 speed, Low, Medium, Hi). Currently, the remote is working (tested it with other Alpha fan installed in my house).
The problem is with the ceiling fan. Whenever power button (on wall) is swittched on, the ceiling fan will turn at the highest speed. Remote control could not control the fan's speed, as well as the on/off function.
I suspect the "Receiver" of the fan is not working....

Can I ask if any expert here would like to share and let me know how to deal with this issue? I have contacted service center and changing the "receiver" would cost about RM100 including service charge... =)

Cheers and thanks in advance. =)

i heard also problem with the electronic PCB. if KDK or Panasonic, I have a friend who just buy the PCB and change it. remote control no problem. but Alpha, don't know can do the same. Will try to ask him.
that's why I always advocate KDK/Panasonic biggrin.gif the simplest one is the best(with wall  regulator), never have any problem, last donkey years.... but heck, very old fashion tongue.gif
