Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is under mid-low end range, quality is not so good compare to Mr Slim which is MEQ. The shop is not telling the true fact.  If the price RM1399 is for non-inverter I think is expensive. If its for inverter then the price is not bad. smile.gif

mind to tell what is MEQ stands for?

Ya, just browse on their website, the design is not that pretty compare to others brand. Currently I am using Pana normal type, so far so good, but if the weather is very hot, it is very hard to cool down the room, some more my room is facing north west, the room temperature is really hot. Luckly my new house is facing the other round, so it may not that hot.

Planning to get air-cond this week because of current hot weather. This model good or not?

Panasonic Deluxe CU-C9KKH = RM1320
or Panasonic Inverter Deluxe CU-S10KKH = RM1420
(Price include normal installation)

The price of the inverter almost the same as non-inverter so I'm in big dilema now. Which one should I get? Inverter really can save electricity? What about the maintenace cost?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently looking to install a new aircon for my new house's living room. The living and dining room are basically together as a whole. No wall in between.

I am thinking of installing this type of aircon. It is the mini cassette type. It is installed in the ceiling. I find that this is quite useful as it allows the air flow from the middle of the room instead of from any one wall.

http://www.panasonic.com.my/web/pid/1644/Feat

Anyone have used this type of aircon and can give their feedback?

Normally, if installing this type of cassette-ceiling mounted aircon in the plaster ceiling, should the aircon be install first or the plaster ceiling first? BTW, this will be new ceiling as well..

Cheers biggrin.gif

inverter is more costly than non-inverter in maintenance cost. It will only be effective on saving your electricity bill, if you are using it for long hours.

ceiling cassette type will allow even distribution of air in the room space. but if u're putting it in the middle u may not able to install ceiling fan. anyway better to install both together, otherwise air con first, or else the air con guy may need to cut up your ceiling and patch it back again!

My contractor told me my new house aircond piping is the normal one , hence cant go for inverter type.If really keen on inverter need to hack the wall again and redo the piping.
Such case is common ka ??I tought the inverter is using same piping system, only installation cost different with inverter type more ..can anyone confirm this ??

You need to change the pipe.

Last time I change from normal to inverter type and change the whole pipe with wall hacking. It cost me more as the pipe lenght is more than 10feet.

If you use Daikin Inverter, you can use the old piping as it is.
