Alkaline water machine ionize the water to produce alkaline water. Its nature of ionized water (unstable) doesn't provide any benefits to the body yet it causes body to have produce a lot of free radicals.

Most Baking Soda are made of Sodium Bicarbonate, not all brands have Magnesium Bicarbonate in it. Taking magnesium rich food is a better option, yes it can help our body to to relax and improve sleep.

Magnesium is also very good for gout patients.

Espring water is mild alkaline (pH 7-8, sometimes 9), it contains calcium, magnesium and potassium, that's how the alkalinity comes into picture.

Just that we never see espring make claims about alkaline water can cure this and that....

Yup espring also alkaline water, just that we don't use ionizer to make it alkaline.

And never overclaim alkaline water can cure cancer or-what-so-ever diseases...

Like other forumer explained, we really need to know more beyond the surface.

1. calcium and potassium are abundant from normal food, magnesium is the real deal here. as mentioned, go for the food sources.

2. how do u generate Ca+, Mg+ and Na+ in eSpring anyway? It must have electrodes of these metals embedded in it?

btw, those alkaline will neutralise/react with medicines you take, avoid it.

That's why suggest eating Pumpkin seeds (Magnesium) and drink baking soda water (Sodium Bicarbonate) same time to form Magnesium Bicarbonate for best digestive form.

I want to buy Culligan EZ-1 and use it until it's expired then change to ez-4 cartrige.

Now i'm using a cheapo 2 stage water filter bought from Mydin mainly for cooking and washing vegie/fruit. Sometimes drink from it after boiling.

Compare to that cheapo 2 stage water filter, is Culligan EZ-1 better? its RM20 more expensive. But not sure if EZ-1 still better than my current water filter.

I am using Culligan EZ-4, if you can tolerate the slightly slow rate of water coming out from the filter then it is ok. Otherwise, the water (after boiling of course) tastes normal like what water should be. I am comforted that it is a safe and good filter, so far it is reliable filter to use for me.

EZ-1 is NSF 42 certified. Better then uncertified ones. Just boil the water before drinking until you change the cartridge to EZ-4. Forumer -JC- is doing EZ-4 bulk from Amazon, you can join him.

For those with experience with the 3M AP902 outdoor water filter system, how often does the cartridge typically need replacing? I understand this is really dependant on total household water usage and it varies from family to family.

From the specs, the cartridge capacity is approx 380,000 litres but Malaysia's water is rather dirty so I'm also assuming a shorter cartridge lifespan as well.

If I'm looking at a typical household with 2 adults and 2 children, would the cartridge last 6 months? I'm located in KL if it helps.

Appreciate the feedback and experiences smile.gif

What is your monthly water usage? I change my first one cartridge when close to 24 months of usage. We don't use that much water, 8-9m3 per month, and always FOC. Thanks to the Selangor current Government (PKR smile.gif )

I change mine because is long overdue, water pressure still good. You mileage may varied depend your monthly usage and water condition.

My usage is only 3-4m3/mth. With the filter lifetime of 380,000Liter or 380m3, I only require to change 380/4=95mth/12=7.9yrs!

7yrs only change 1 filter. I lagi beh tahan.
