I'm not kaya to buy RM4K-5K water filter that still need $$$$ to replace its filters...that's why I go for rental.....for just RM110 per month (auto charge to my credit card), I need not worry a thing.....in fact I guess Coway must be so worried that I might shift house and ran away with their asset 

I have done a bit of survey myself before decided on Coway    Like I said in previous post, water filter won't work as it should, if the filters not serviced where you would end up drinking contaminated water like me before. There's a good video at www.mycoway.net that explains how their filtering system works.

I realized that Coway has a dedicated team to do just servicing every 2 months where they will clean the device and change the filters as per schedule. Not only that, after each time the Coway personnel came to my house, I sure get phone call the next day to verify whether the personnel did the right thing, wearing uniform, look presentable etc. Last sekali dia akan tanya our own rating on the service received.

i think the most important point is the water that filter out from the water filter system right?

+1 ... but sometime , we need some water for cooking purposes... u can gt those cheapo Rm100-200 water purifier if u cant afford RM1-2k filter . ntg wrong .

Just because the RO doesn't have mineral, you ask people not to drink RO water?? What a joke...

If u want your drinking water that contains minerals which equal to 1 glass orange juice, you need to DRINK 30 GALLONS to get it!! As long as you eat vegetables or fruits, you can get back all the minerals!

And you know what, RO able to purified 0.0001 MICRON which filtering most harmful substances including heavy metals, cancer-causing substances! Which other filtration method won't able to do it!

There isn't any scientific evidence to demonstrate the benefits of the energized water. Water filter most important function is to filter impurities such that it is suitable for drinking. If you follow this principle then you don't really need anything extra.

These energized water, alkaline water are mostly originated for JP and KR - two countries where fads are norm. That said, some of the "theories" seem plausible but not proven. I have just gotten the latest Panasonic TK7585 ionized water filter just to try out the difference. At least I know the Panasonic water filter does indeed is a good water filtering device I.e effective in getting rid of harmful substances at least. Ionized water is just an added feature to me

pana replacement is around 150bucks. i normally change every year. but: i have entry filter over lava rubble + double carbon filters running before hand. so onlything left is minor impurites. on a sidenote: anyone has a solution to fit the panasonic filter under the sink?

I agree in a sense, there is only clean and dirty water, soft or hard water.

But in Malaysia we have people that believe in energy water, diamond water etc bla bla bla. Your filter needs to remove chlorine and heavy metals, not to provide long life and lots of luck. 

For filtered household water, it comes from tap which is pretreated.
I agree it may not be up to standard but it has gone through a treatment process before we filter it again.
So no mineral content specification does not mean there is poison. 

Not arguing for "must" drink mineral water, "defending" mineral water. 

Leak? The bypass valve is same as the other two valves. I think it was not done properly.

Worry about sun, you can cover it with something like cloth, plastic, etc or even aluminium foil, the one use for baking.

Wow, you sure know how to safe water. According to Start sometime back, we use 226L per day per person.

But for me, weekday seldom at home, my monthly usage is 13m3 base on the free water bill

haha.. But than again, keeping the cartridge filter for too long also not to good. I will change when pressure get drop, that usually happen at 70% to 80% blocked.

why calculate so much on this? Just take alphamax with backwash will do... low maintenance compare to 3M. Cost wise cheaper as well.

nvr think of it.. just told that need to backwash after 7 to 10days..and the size of tank bigger than 3M. And I do not believe the smaller size like 3M, can wait until full year only change filter. Sure the water flow or pressure will compromise.
