hahaa... for example la...
u r using AMD and another person is using intel...
in my last case... my X2 5200 @ 3.1ghz against E6550 @ 3.6ghz
both are doing 3870 crossfire @ stock...
my score on 3D Mark 06 is 12K.. and the other person score is 15K...
from this u can guess that ur proc is bottlenecking the GC...
i've ask all the pros in benching.. all of them tell me that my proc is bottlenecking the card...

i even tried Ocing the card, the score won't budge.. still @ 12K...
Thanks for the reply. But 3D Mark scores comprises of many factors such as what model of mobo, gc, cpu, ram, psu, hard disk, etc. It might be either one that is limiting the 3dmark score

. If both AMD X2 5200 and Intel E6550 has identical components, only differences are the CPU and mobo then i guess it will be much easier to isolate whether the cpu or mobo is limiting the GPU

Anyway it would be kind of a big hassle to check if mobo/cpu is limiting the GPU if only one can compare with someone with similar setup.

Hmm... But i have tried the same E6600 + 88GT on 2 boards.. the scores are different le...
1.P35-DS3
2.Foxconn MARS P35
Foxconn got higher scores compared to DS3.. same settings same clock.. just different board
But that still does not shows either mobo is limiting or bottlenecking the GPU because the scores are a sum of many factors including mobo, cpu, ram, gpu, etc.
