PCIe 1.1 and 2.0 differ not much,
but if you want to go for the best, go for 2.0 |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 21 2008, 07:35 PM) About the HDMI sound on the 4850 card, here's the screen shot: This could clear up some confusion for ATI HDMI user Looks like it's already detected the sound output via HDMI and you can even enable DD51/DTS passthrough to the receiver. But all i want is the sound to come out on the LCD TV via the stereo channel.....must try later...maybe on weekend...too lazy to drag my PC over to the TV now.... hope can be put at first post |

nice compilation wlteng
anyway, news for upcoming Cat8.8 : Catalyst 8.8 under Crossfire particularly fast? Added on August 4, 2008, 9:41 amASUS HD4870 TOP Review: http://www.rbmods.com/Articles/Asus/4870_TOP/1.php from the review, it seems 1) No need to do CCC modification for fan speed. 2) Better temperature at idle and load (maybe the review place is northpole? 3) Overall pwn 9800GX2 (Maybe due to lower res benchmark?) According to W1zzard guide at techpowerup forum,
we can re-flash bad bios by using PCI display card (PCI card as display, but it still will target ur Radeon card to be flash) |

QUOTE(krizalid88 @ Aug 7 2008, 02:05 PM) so u think 4870 x2 price will reduce to rm1.7-rm1.5k? You need to remember that,1 4870 = rm910 if 2 4870 = rm910 x 2 = rm1820 4870 x2 = rm1850??? the upcoming(soon to be release) HD4870X2 is 2GB GDDR5 (1GB + 1GB, RM1850) and while current HD4870 is 512MB (RM910) the upcoming 4870x2 1GB (512MB + 512MB) GDDR3 (a bit late than 4870X2 2GB) will be priced at RM14xx~RM16xx This post has been edited by pikacu: Aug 7 2008, 02:17 PM |
