Hey just an update. I manage to get my laptop to detect the media files in N82 as some reconfiguration step.Anyway to answer your question of share:-
From N82 : From Menu > Tools > Connect > Hom.med > Browse Home (you can browse all connected device in your home network like laptops, printers for sharing)
From PC : Open the Home Media Server > Devices > Shows the connected N82

a little confusing here...
just to be sure, what os are you guys using? xp,vista, linux or mac? (home media users,i mean)
I am using XP. I guess you are right, I can't play the N82 from My Laptop using the the Home Media Server . But from N82 I can play media files from N82 to Laptop (what I mean is that the content is in the N82 but play in laptop) or play media files from Laptop on N82 / Laptop (acts like a remote control)just to be sure, what os are you guys using? xp,vista, linux or mac? (home media users,i mean)
