e.g. i go to a roundabout and supposed to take 3 o clock exit, but it will tell me "please take first exit" ...

Guys what does it mean when I try to install a SIS file, and it says "expired certificate?"

Zzzzzz ok I need some S60 tips (been using S-E all my life).

1) Typing SMS / copy-paste.

So, let's say I want to T9 a word in two parts, "test" and "ing" to --> testing. I would first type "test" and then directional key right and then "ing" --> no problems.

However, if I accidentally press the # key too long, it switches to copy-paste mode, and then I can no longer do this. How do I turn off copy-paste?

2) Setting alarm clock

Same thing ... let's say I am changing the Description, and copy-paste is on, I can no longer scroll down to set Repeat / Alarm Day, etc ... how to fix?

Mmmmmmm I've been taking lots of pics with my N82 and sadly, although the camera is king among other camphones ... the quality can't match even a middle-range dedicated digicam, especially in poor lighting conditions ...

Any of you got ... hmmm how to explain ... "lag" when playing saved youtube videos via emtube? For mine ... certain youtube videos when there's an entire scene change, the movie will lag a bit one ...

It's perfectly logical. From the N82 reviews I read around the net, each one of them proclaims how good the camera is, etc etc, compared to other camphones. Not a single review I came across mentioned the camera quality compared to dedicated digicams. Therefore these reviews gave me a (false) impression that the N82 had similar quality to at least a low-end digicam. Doesn't help that most of these websites take shots in bright daylight, and then resize the resolution so the lack in quality are not apparent.

[edit] essay I had an old K610i that had a rubbish camera, and I was initially planning on buying a digicam. Seeing N82 reviews that have nothing but praise for the camera changed my mind to buy an all-in-one smartphone instead, and this is the only regret I have for buying it - I expected more from the camera. 50% quality is bullshit too, TBH. My old powershot S200 is a 6-year-old, 2 megapixel camera, and it still takes better quality pictures (albeit at lower resolution) than the N82. Is it too much to expect that my N82 should blow this camera out of the water?

I can't figure out why my emTube lags so much. It's like, during the movie playback, the sound will be ok but the picture will sometimes lag to like 5 fps and become slideshow ... and this is videos that I save to the micro sd card.

I doubt it is a card speed problem either ... I have a hard gay youtube video (that lags like hell) that is 18megs and 7mins40s = roughly 39kb/sec transfer rate, which is way lower than what even the slowest cards are capable of.

I'll admit that I didn't do much research just assumed that 5 megapixel must be same quality as those 5mp digicams from 3-years ago.

Anyway I still love this phone though ... except for my emtube lagging and the garmin mxt copy paste bug >_<

Hrm my N82 will occasionally hang one leh. Mostly when doing too much at once i.e. listening to music and Garmin giving directions while also playing game ... then it will just hang and I have to take out the battery =_=;;;

I noticed that the malsingmaps on the LDP got some super confusing directions ... like it will say "take ramp ahead" or "turn left" or "turn right" when you are supposed to just follow LDP ... dunno if it's a problem with the outdated map or what (I'm using the free June one, too lazy to go and find 2 POI to get the December one haha).

Eh, is it possible to flash my firmware to a chinese-support one? Currently using 11.0.117 ... I think it's UK firmware, I kinda want simplified chinese support also (but if can't, then no big deal).

Waaaaaaaaaah APAC firmware 11.0.117, in silent mode the camera got shutter sound! My previous EURO spec firmware silent mode = no shutter sound leh ...

... you all with Msia/Singapore region firmware, got this problem?

Yup, 100% sure. Also for EURO the fonts are different ... can't explain exactly how different but just ... different.

Also ... any of you guys got some "problems" with themes?

i.e. for a few of my themes ... the wallpaper/main screen is OK ... but when go to the menu it will have an ugly bar on top that is diff from the theme ... no pictures but I mean something like this:

green is the theme wallpaper, blue are the icons for the menu ... then red got some bar on the top that should be "transparent" but it's not ... so it kinda ruins the whole theme ... hrm.

Ehh ... I came to know that K850i got themes that use the accelerometer for effects ... got such themes for N82/symbian or not? Liek uh i dunno ... the wallpaper got a ball that rolls around when u rotate the phone? That would be supercool ;o

muman > It isn't as bad as you make it sound. Most of the more popular apps can be installed with no problems. It's the ones with small developers that don't /won't sign their apps - those we won't be able to sign anymore (unless u want to pay usd800/year or something, lol).

Besides, there's also cracked versions that come out eventually for popular apps ... but those you gotta check a particular popular ahem forum, lawl.

My friend told me his friend's N82, the phone can mention the name of whoever is calling! Like, e.g. Andrew calls "N82 owner," the N82 will say "Andrew" and then only the ringtone!

How to set ah??? I went into personalisation --> tones and turned on "say caller name" but it doesn't work ... go into the help menu it says "caller must be set up as full name or nickname in contacts" but whatever combination of names I put for the contact also doesn't work ...

... helpppppp T_T

oh also ... themes that have accelerometer effects = not supported?

Ya, but N82 so far I haven't found any themes that use this accelerometer (so I'm guessing it's not supported).

Whereas k850i also got accelerometer, and got themes that can use accelerometer effects ... damn cool wei.

Meh, even with the N95Accelerometerplugin also my RockNScroll cannot work. At least now the screen kinda goes blank as if the app was trying to launch but can't. Oh well, nevermind lar ...
