1. Gold Card Privileges
2. Free For Life without any condition (no annual fee and no need to call CS for waiver).
3. As you said, lower requirement for Gold Card.

That's why I'm asking. The form that I submitted doesn't have portion on Virtual Mastercard.

By the way, I asked about the free gift. They said that I need to charge my card once in order to get that one week later.

hey, I have a question...regarding those 0% installment feature we get from credit cards. Who gives the installment feature actually? The card or the outlet you purchase from? I called up Maybank the other day and they say it is totally dependent on the shop itself. If that's the case...why Maybank put 0% EzyPay in their ad? rclxub.gif

and it sounds like you can get 0% installment from any other cards....as long as the shop allows it.
*
Its based on the merchant. How long is the installment will be decided the moment you make the purchase.

U can only get 0% Installment if that shop is using terminal same with your card issuer.

Means if u use Maybankard, the shop must have Maybank terminal else cant get 0% Installement unless that shop themself have their own installment plan not associated with bank/credit card.

That is why shops like SenHeng or HSL have atleast 6 terminals from different bank
*
I'll say in terms of the 0% Installment, theres Maybank & Citibank everywhere...but Maybank wins overall in term of flexibility. They have 6, 12, 18 & 24 months. It definitely pays to have a higher credit limit with Maybank. Things that I really need and can pay up fast, I will use my Citibank. Things that I feel would best suit me if I drag the payment as long as possible will be my Maybank card. Like my Cali Fitness fees. I charge it 24 months. laugh.gif At least I won't forget that I am a Cali Fitness member anytime soon. wink.gif

Got my CIMB DA today. They used Pos Laju to courier the card to me.

Need to go through for activation since there's a warning stated that the card is blocked. They offer a credit limit of double my MBB Visa, HSBC Visa and HSBC Mastercard. It also got Paypass feature.

hi, wat are the disadvantages of UOB One card & UOB Vox card?

1.) Need to pay RM388.00 annual fee???
2.) Heard got ppl said they will issue both Visa & Mastercard and we need to use both??? If wanna waive annual fee, then have to use 6 times for Visa & 6 times for Master, is it true?
3.) Collect points and redeem stuffs like Citibank?
4.) UOB Dining Privileges are applied to One and Vox?

Hi, I applied for both Visa and Mastercard, but not Virtual Mastercard. But when I got my cards, there's an application form for Virtual Mastercard inside.

CIMB DA will soon implement a new online system which you could use their credit cards without needing the Virtual Account. If I'm not mistaken this means they will implement Mastercard Secure and VISA 3D. (A strong guess)

I got this in my mailer 2 months ago - those wanting to do online transactions if you can delay applying for the Virtual Card (Which cost money), just need to wait a while longer.

Why do you need to apply virtual account? Can't you use CIMB DA online anyway? I thought all mastercards and visa cards can be used online?

For security purpose. To isolate between online and non-online purchases. Generally, Virtual Mastercard is meant to have a lower credit limit and for the use of online transactions.

Yes ... that's correct. Plus, CIMB DA (Enrich also if I remember it correctly) is the only card in the market that you can't use to perform any transactions online unless you have a virtual card. Exception to the Enrich card which enables you to buy tickets from MAS website.

If you ask me, it's a bit of a letdown as all other cards in the market allows you to perform online transactions.
