Yesterday mid night, I just only submiited my online application for citibank clear card.........today lunch time they already call me. They even sending a despatch boy to come to my office next mon to collect my documents. Talk about efficiency......

I wonder whether will my application get thru as a colleague of mine had already applied twice....both also rejected. So far among my colleague, none of their application succeed. I'm just wondering whether mine will succeed? as my salary background likely to be the same like theirs.........

Does local ppl have more advantage?? sweat.gif

any reason why the application always rejected ? maybe your company has bad finance record ?

as what I know, it is very easy to get citibank card because they are very agresive.. after one year they automatically upgrade gold to you some more.. I got 2 friends also got free upgrade card but not limit lo.. limit for gold card rm5k only.. like my ONE platinum card..

My colleague none know what's the reason.......

But one thing for sure is when I told the agent who call me today about my company......he directly told me that my company is one of their financial listing......(his english damn great.....and I don't really understand what he mean)......and they could easily get our company record. My company is an international company. So I don't think is has bad record.

Ya my bro even told me it's easy to get.....currently his limit very high too.....but i didn't ask how much. But definitely he recommend me to get fr citibank first before trying the locals

for the moment maybank and citibank are the largest credit card issuer in malaysia. i see so many people have citibank credit cards that i dont think it is exclusive.

Added on March 22, 2008, 10:49 amdo you all know anyone who has the RHB Bank Visa Infinite credit card? it is black in colour and higher than platinum. Annual income required when it was launched was RM 380,000. Credit limit starts at around 200k. I saw once someone use this card.

Citibank (and also StandardChartered, HSBC) is well recognized if you use it overseas. To be fair to be fair actually all credit cards are accepted overseas but sometimes being recognized has its privileges. My experience with Citibank is good when it comes to handling transaction disputes - during the "petrol station fraud crisis" they accepted all my transaction disputes with minimal hassle. All my other cards at that time (including UOB) asked me to put up a lot of evidence and justifications to support my claims. I got all of them disputed in the end but Citibank gave me the least problems.

Never saw anyone carry the RHB Visa Infinite although I would sure love to own one. Agreed that the design for this card is cool. Wish that HSBC Premier also have equally cool design (Platinum design is better unfortunately) - similar to VISA Infinite, this HSBC card is higher than Platinum and carries a whole lot of other privileges. Not everyone can own this card - your income need to justify it.

Hi, you mean CCs can be accepted anywhere around the world regardless of which bank that issues it? But 'm not sure if I heard/read from somewhere that some local banks CCs not accepted overseas(even with overseas flag enabled), is this true?
