QUOTE(sunny2009 @ Sep 4 2009, 07:49 PM) Which is better? Salary RM10k, stay and work in KL Salary SGD5k, stay and work in Singapore. In KL you can live in big house & drive nice car with RM10k In SG you can only rent a small room & take public transport with SGD5k.

Anyway how do you think you can get RM10k per month? Perhaps Senior Manager Level & above only get this salary?? But in SG, even executive level or higher can get SGD5k. Mean more people getting SGD5K then people getting RM10k.

RM10k in Malaysia (KL) can't afford big house (eg. RM300K) & nice car (RM70K), if you are married with kid(s).
Inflation rate is getting higher, you have to start invest and saving for your kid(s).
RM10k in Malaysia (KL), you get moderate lifestyle only.

QUOTE(sunny2009 @ Sep 9 2009, 08:33 PM) What is your point? What are u trying to say? Very easy. Spend 500USD in each Malaysia and Singapore for 30 days, by spending the same amount of money in 2 different countries, you can tell the quality of living.

Don't think anyone going to win in this debate. it will go on and on with no tail end. I myself involved in this kind of oversea salary talk with friends before. each have different opinion. have to respect each other differences. No right and wrong. still i personally prefer msia. Hi fellow expats
I have been working in KL for 8 months.
I heard that you are only allowed to go out of Malaysia for 14 days a year or else they will tax you 28% of your annual income?
Is this true?

It is absolutely a wrong perception to think Malaysia will pawn Spore in this debate. A toyota camry in spore cost only $60K whereas in Msia cost about RM180K. Now go figure out why..
