QUOTE(zinn @ Jan 15 2009, 10:28 PM)
I know! But the company said that I'll def get a full salary that a degree holder should get but only after I get my original academic transcript (my convo's dis comin' march). Is dat even legal? Owh, btw, the offer letter doesn't state anything bout the increase in the salary, it was a promise through mouth by my boss. I should get it in writing right? but i've been asking bout putting it in writing for months now and all they say is "we'll discuss about it when we're free" (we refers to the boss and the head of finance). excuse me? define free. (seriously pissed off!)
*
Can I know which location you working? I think is the time to consider switch job, even trainee should at least RM1.5k. Forget about the written promise, even though your increase is written in appointment letter, the boss always can not to increase your salary.

Failed for 5 times in ACCA is quite an extreme example.
It is not that hard actually, don't scare people off. smile.gif
One of the forumer mentioned that ACCA is like a Kancil, CIMA is BMW.
How you judge? rolleyes.gif
*
My friend, I failed 4 time in ACCA Audit Paper, I got 48/49 mark few time. The 5th time only get through. ACCA unlike those degree program. You are taking an external exam. Not well prepare mean 100% fail. Well prepare not mean 100% pass, only 50/50.

Unless you are one of the genius group. Or a book womb, do nothing but study!
Malaysia ACCA passing rate only around 25%.

Think again!! sweat.gif

Yes, even in the marketing division itself we do actually take people with account and finance base to perform sales analyst. I'm one of them. I have degree for accounting and finance. But u don't expect to just come in and get 6k. lol. U have to work your way up to earn it  wink.gif
*
But actually in accounting line, you work for 10 year still just >RM5k. (of course not accounts manager/accountant lah)

Some more you think 3 years experience Accountant can demand >RM6k ah??? Don't even said if working experience less then 3 years (not a qualify accountant some more)

Currently average accountant are getting RM5k with reasonable experience, I mean normal accountant, not those extraordinary case
in those listed Co. or MMC that afford to paid RM8-10k. (don't misunderstand again ok!!)

Of course which the Co. will sudden give RM6k for non manager position? At least the raise and paid are above industrial average.

Anyway with the experience and age, the Co. are really really really paid above the industrial average.

unless they doing sales, else a 9-6 job is impossible to earn 5 figures at young age, except work in their father's company ...

Totally agree, with very few year of experience, certainly no one will give such paid. Unless you are a genius or scientist that help the company to development.

Or you can work in oil & gas industry offshore, then u can earn 5-10k USD. But the working environment are suck.

Eh, do you guys think working as a shop assistant monday to sunday, one day off, pay me RM1.5k, issit okok? Part time.
PS : please tell me if i cannot post such post like this.
*
Shop assistance will highly depend your responsibility and daily turnover to judge your salary. As I always see most shop assistance are watch movie, online or play game while working. Do you think like that can demand high salary?

As most of them just expecting to look after the shop only, nothing else. If you show something good that able help the business, then sure you can demand higher salary.
