Work hard...You got a future there...every job will have future...it's just depends on ur attitude towards ur work.....

Mr Hairstylist,
You can't compare your profession with Engineer, Doctors, Lawyers and other professional (sorry to have leave out your professional job).
Most of them have hard to earn degree and are very specialized. Their job requires extensive focus, knowledge, experience and skill not easily attained.

However, fyi I know a "hairstylist" who drives a BMW5 series. Yet he is only standard 6 education. His dad seeing him hopeless and almost got into juvenile jail, quickly send him out and "buy" a cert... now he cut hairs for rich ladies (i think sometimes go to the bed) and do "digital" perming etc and of cz charge very good price with the hard earned money from the CEO, ENgineer, Dr (the husbands).

BE aspired smile.gif dont gv up.U will drive 5 series also.

My friend explained this is called study hard:

SPM
5-6 hours at school, 2-3 hours at tuition, 2-3 hours at home.
Weekends: less hang out with friends and study more:
Results?

In SPM, he got straight As.
He also won Olympiad Maths Quiz,Royal Australian Chemistry Quiz-HD

Then? Offered scholarship of course.

In uni? More relax? Forget abt it
12 hours (lecture, tutorial, lab and revision)
Results? What happened? FIrst class degree with CGPA 3.90 (beaten all mat salleh)

Then? He was offered a job 2 months before he grad.. All of us envy him....

Fyi, he is not stupid, his IQ is probably 120 but he is dedicated...

today? at 28,he is a manager... salary? ofcz very good.. but he still very humble and not as cocky as me and he never claimed that he studied hard enough...

2nd class upper - 3.0 to 3.69

my uni CGPA kantoi one.....sad.gif

First class: >3.75 and depends on head count. If too many above 3.75, they jack up the standard.
During my year, my faculty got several great ppl:,
my roommate: 3.92 Chinese man
my lab partner: 3.79 Chindian girl
my breakfast kaki: 3.71 Chinese old man
our friend who alw disturbed us during exam so that we cant focus, keep all the tips for himself. Regret to say that he is an indian...he really spoil all the indian image though i believe not all indian are like him.. 3.8x (unknown as he keep it as a secret)

with this out of 100 students graduation, they push the first class to CGPA 3.80 so that we have only 3 out of 100.

Second upper class 3.5 and above.....

Please dont ask me which uni... smile.gif tq.

increments in semiconductor is crappy. last yr i got 6% this yr is 0! am i underpaid? i my frens who graduated at the same time as i am (now with 4 yrs exp) and they are all getting 4k++ (pls dun take into consideration SGD->RM conversion as i am currently staying and spending in SG)
*
Whether you are underpaid or not it depends on how is your performance and capability.... BUT you are humilated because you are a Malaysia who works in Singapore.
Why do you want to work there? It must be the conversion rate that attracts you. But sad to say, you are discriminated.

My friend is a Singaporean who graduated from Singapore Uni, he is working in one of the semicon, his starting pay is SGD2.8k.
This friend knows peanuts sad.gif Lousy engineer.....sorry la my friend...
Another friend who is a Malaysian and he is working for another engineering field, he is hired to be base in KL. However, his company hq office is in Singapore and they start a small office in KL, his salary is in RM but converted to SG its abt SGD3.8k. 4 years experience.

This is no humilation....

Story of humilation....

Another Electrical Engineer is demoted to Electrical Designer when he left Msia to work in SG...salary is abt SGD3k but title drop... insulting right?

Come back come back and come back la...pity you....you are not the only one... i hv many friends who are like that too..

RM10k in Malaysia (KL) can't afford big house (eg. RM300K) & nice car (RM70K), if you are married with kid(s).

Inflation rate is getting higher, you have to start invest and saving for your kid(s).

RM10k in Malaysia (KL), you get moderate lifestyle only.
