Since 2018, we have been paying RM 129 for 500Mbps, but apparently, my sister said TM cannot upgrade our package to 800Mbps for RM 129. I'm not sure why, but TM refuses to give us a free upgrade. We are also using Astro at home and are thinking of changing to Astro Fiber 500Mbps for RM 90.

Any better options if we were to continue with UniFi? Minimum package is 500Mbps. Otherwise, I see no point to continue with TM anymore since we will still need Astro subscription at home.

Is this a good choice or any better options?

All this while I thought we are already on 800Mbps at home and until recently my sister checked and confirmed it is only 500Mbps. When I'm at home, I don't use the connection, I use U Home 5G, that's why I'm not aware.

Even with RM 119 is still expensive. I guess we gotta move out and save RM 39 per month.

If that's the case, then port out. As Rm119 consider cheap for Unifi 500mbps plan. If want to further reduce cost, U Home 5G is the solution.
Any proof? Seems like all heresay.
As long as Unifi infra in your area do not suffer from frequent breakdown, then should be fine. It's just like how some people saying Maxis fibre not good, but we don't hear them complain about international congestion like Unifi. But when infra break down, then of course TM will not prioritise stepchild.

Either maxis broadband, time or allo. Choose one upon registration but depends on your area also which to choose  About 'unstable' need to get detail about specific isp from that someone who mentioned. Basically the monthly bill will show Astro broadband + what ISP.

Sorry for being cheapskate but need some input from sifus to see if i can dig more benefits from Unifi.

My contract habis, currently using

300Mbps - RM129/Mth

I went back to unifi and talk about the SWU.

They offer me,

300Mbps - RM119/Mth
500Mbps - RM139/Mth

6 months bill waver, however must subscribe RM39/Mth unifi mobile.

Should I agree? Or I can bargain for more.
Also, just some extras,
My place got TIME port. But Unifi never give me problems and service quite good. If i change to time, i dont know how stable is that in my condo.

that was SWU 3.0 i apply oct 2023 and activated 7 november 2023 speed bump 500Mbps

If UNIFI never give you a problem then stick to it
I'm also on 500mbps rm139 monthly UNIFI, but in my case i don't have to subscribe to UNIFI mobile
Just ask them you are not interested with the UNIFI mobile, plus just saying currently you have 2 providers in your mind, I'm sure they will follow whay you want, cuz they don't want to loose customers 🙂🔥

At that monthly fees do the package come with unifitv & free calls?

My black 2.5Gb black skyworth router suddenly faulty. The PON light blinking continuously. Looks like the optic port has an issue.
I made a report, unifi promise to replace tomorrow morning. For now I connect directly the optic cable to my Asus router.

One question, will there be any hidden charge for the replacement? Or should I directly tell the technician that I don’t need any assistance in setting up the router. Thank you

I think no charge if still under 12mth warranty.. especially the black skyworth which newly introduced.

Get new router? Make sure save the screenshot with date for future use specifically for upload speed where it should be 200Mbps.

mine SWU 3.0 300Mbps to 500Mbps RM119 but i don't get 800Mbps

Its 189.75/mth with UnifiTV (New Ultimate Pack - upgrade from previous Ultimate) 


yup previously (last year I think) on SWU3.0 from 300Mbps upgraded to 500Mbps/100Mbps    and yesterday to 800Mbps/200Mbps
yeah SS and keep it here for future reference    800Mbps Download & 200Mbps Upload
same on SWU3.0 before    and I had 2nd acc with 300Mbps + UnifiTv too at hometown since last year
