Hi, can we apply for swu5.0 at unifi store instead of tmpoint? since most of tmpoint is open on weekday only?

and also since currently under my dad name, do i have to bring him also or i can just print a letter and copy of his ic for doing the swu?

As long as it is not dealer, then it is okay. You need to bring your dad along, they need to get his thumbprint on a reader.

For those who got the Skyworth GN630V combo router, it's super easy to turn that thing into bridge mode and still use PPPOE at your own router.

You should definitely do that as any decent third party router should have a much faster CPU than the GN630V.

My settings below:

Note: VLAN tagging / IPTV Profile / VLAN profile not needed on your router with this configuration!

Remember to switch off the WiFi function once that's done.

Can I ask

blacktubi

I tested this and awesome it really works but I have a question.
Can I use both router as wifi access point.

Because now after I restart the unifi router modem i cannot connect to the wifi its just connecting then fail. How do I access the unifi router if I cannot connect to the wifi to change setting? use LAN cable?
What settings should I do to have both working?

My Asus router ip is 192.168.50.1
Asus is the dialer connect to unifi router through bridge mode to LAN 1

My unifi router modem ip is 192.168.0.1

The gpt bot keep timing or say "something wrong, I'm not sure..." or just keep giving old bill price kek so in the end ask bot to connect me to live agent.
Confirmed by agent, it's RM119 (RM126 after SST), means TM point branch seems quite flexible to change the offer/price for this SWU5.0...?

Deswai I still prefer to use the old configuration: modem + standalone router. If a service provider wants to combine two function into a single box, that means they should assign a reliable vendor to write security patches on monthly basis, firmware with less bug, and give contract to vendor with good track record of maintaining networking device. Unifi clearly cutting down the cost to the most extreme level. I think the only current best solution is opting to maxis if still want to retain the old configuration, regardless 1G or 2G package.

Same here!

only way is to use pon stick or ONU Bridge Box, with this, you can use any Router that doesn't support VLAN, because my ONU act like TIME, untagged the traffic

also, no ISP stuff inside, the firmware reply Fake OK back to ISP 😬

Hi all, would like to ask 3 things about unifi. I've been using the 500Mbps for some time now without contract (it was 100Mbps, then auto upgraded to 300Mbps and now 500Mbps). Recently i saw that unifi has netflix that is included together.

Questions:
1. Can an old accounts ask for the netflix package at the same price or it's new accounts only?
2. I've changed my router previously (not unifi router) and there are 2 routers in the house because the signal is weak on the lower floor. If i sign up for a new contract, will they change the modem and router?
3. I saw that Netflix std is about RM50 while Netflix basic is RM30 a month. Is there a big difference on a 65" TV? Reason is i was planning to downgrade to 100Mbps because only my parents are home. However, after some calculation, Rm89 (for 100Mbps) with Neflix Std already comes to RM139, so it's better to just stay with the Rm149 package.

let me help you you answer that. Yes the bigger the tv the sharper the quality but also depend on the quality of the tv. Since I watch 4K on my smart tv its very hard to go back to standard or basic

I am planning to downgrade from 500 mbps (RM 159) to 100 mbps (RM 99) as I am not utilizing the speed. Only phone usage and some Netflix.

Since it's downgrade, i'm tied to a 24 months contract. I am ok with that but they mention they won't change the modem as it's a downgrade. I thought as long as I recontract 24 months, I am eligible for a new router? My modem is like more than 10 years ago.

Anyone knows if this is a practise?
