Remember, there’s no such thing as a “free” phone—they’ve already added the cost into the price. First, check how much data your son actually uses every month. If he’s using less than a certain amount, find a plan that fits his needs without overpaying.

I almost got scammed by a similar thing. UNIFI called me, offering to “upgrade” my home plan to 500Mbps (which I already had) with entitled free 6months but said I had to take a postpaid plan for RM69. They claimed I could cancel the postpaid in a month, but later I found out it’s a bundle deal. If you sign up, both the home and postpaid plans are tied to a 24-month contract, and you can’t cancel just the postpaid!

I made complaint to unifi finally they allow me to cancel postpaid and maintain unifi.

That why back then I had the offer SWU at rm129 with free upgrade to 500mbps but after 24months it become rm147 then until now I have never renew. After renew it before rm159 based on the statement . Should I report this?

I last time got the upgrade RM129 for SWU4.0 but now the price keep going up last I checked it become RM149 then now after renew it become RM159 for 500mbps. Should I complaint? but I get 6months free

Problem its not rm129 was my original plan 2 years ago suddenly the bill become rm147 maybe after 2 years didn’t notice this because its auto debit now renew become 159 thibking should I complaint

I got mislead by an Unifi agent. A telemarketer called me, offering to renew my plan with 6 months free. The catch? I had to take Unifi Mobile too. She promised there was no contract and said I could cancel after a month.

Later, when I tried to cancel, Unifi told me my plan was bundled. Turns out, my 500Mbps home internet (RM139) originally was (RM159) + Unifi Mobile (RM69) was locked in for 24 months in this bundle. If I canceled Unifi Mobile, I'd lose my 6 months free and have to pay penalties. I was furious! that wasn't what promised to us. I wrote a long complaint with a lot reference and last resort termination.

A few days ago, TM called back and said I can cancel Unifi Mobile, and my 6 months free for home internet will stay. I terminated my unifi mobile the next day but the weird part the lady at TM point told me someone will call me to verify something. I immediately show her the email the TM manager resolution regarding my case. She wrote down my case id. Lets wait it reflect on my next billing.

my mistake was through telemarketer so I don't have any physical record. I just fought the 1st battle the scam of must subscribe with unifi mobile.

I was tempted of the renewal because of the 6months free. I calculated RM159x 24months =3,816.00 MYR

RM3,816 (total to pay for 24months contract based on Rm159 ) - RM964 (value of 6months free) = RM2,862 / 24 months = means monthly only RM119.25

I went to my point today my friend having 500mbps for rm139 when we asked about swu5.0 but it will increase the price to rm159

yes same but mine was RM139 they said if I take SWU 5.0 I will lose the discounted price.

this is a very misleading part. My case similar like yours but unifi told me bundle with unifi mobile cannot be cancelled because both will be locked in a 24months contract. Telemarketer told me can terminate within 1 month

"I was considering what you said as well. If you're currently paying less than RM159, it's not worth it because once the price increases, it will never go back down. After your contract expires, and they don't offer you 6 months free, your new price will still stuck at RM159.

Unifi is famous to have contract expiry so you need to check with them because after 24months they could revert back to its original price

this is for 500mbps? Yea I am also confused I was at TMpoint today My friend using Unifi 500mbps Pro . TM point told me the plan already cheapest. If I take SWU5.0 my price from RM139 become RM159 to enjoy the Disney and 6months free. So end up I request renewal device only to replace the router but maintain the plan

I was at TMpoint today. There is no such thing as you mentioned. I want that 6months waiver maintaining RM139 but to enjoy SWU5.0 I need to revert price to RM159. So we decided to maintain because once the price goes up it can never go back down. TMpoint TAIPAN

That what was told to me when I call 100 spoke to UNIFI customer support if its bundle with your unifi then as I mentioned the bundle price RM139 (unifi home 500mbps ) + RM69 (unifi mobile postpaid) any termination will void the 6months free for unifi home and I have to pay unifi back and also get penalty . The marketing agent from unifi told me use 1month can terminate unifi mobile with no contract
