Damn, too late, there've SWU 5.0 now and those downgrading to 500Mbps won't get the 1GB free upgrade I think. Grrr.. Anyway, will I miss the 800Mbps? Probably not

QUOTE(MarcoFromTropoja @ Feb 6 2025, 02:12 PM) Done my downgrade at TM Point Kepong on the 14Jan2025. Unifi Pro Upgrade 1gbps RM249 -> SWU4.0 500mbps FSU 1gbps 24month & 6 month waive Rebooted my router just now, the upload speed went up to 500Mbps, but the download speed tested via wired, couldn't go more than 800Mbps. So I guess I'm getting the 1GBps upgrade? My ONU still using the old Huwaei HG8240, should I ask for a new one?Lucky i downgrade early before they launch the swu5.0 which seems like not worth it coz no 1gbps offer Anyway i thought SWU5.0 500mbps RM119 ? Seeing those previous post on the offer. Why u getting rm159 If I'm getting the 1GBps for 24 months and back to 500Mbps after, I don't mind paying RM159 BTW, I went to Kepong too and at first the guy said it should be bundled with Unifi Mobile but I said I'm not interested on it and I don't want my unifi tv either but he said, the package comes with Disney. QUOTE(MarcoFromTropoja @ Feb 6 2025, 07:37 PM) as for the ONU, by right yes u can request for new ONU since contract is renewed. but not sure will get the ultra 1/2gbps ONU or just a basic ONU since our main package is 500mbps I tried chat with them thru maya, but was disconnected half way because accidently closed the chat. Grr.. but the lady rep was adamant that my 10 yrs old ONU (HG8240w) could still take the 1Gbps throw to it. She already resetted the port and I restarted my modem/network and still stuck at 800Mbps++ download. How do I persuade them to change the ONU/BTU or whatever it is called now? as for me my previous FSU 800mbps>1gbps got the DLINK Black ONU FX3060V, so when i downgrade to 500mbps, the ONU stays with me |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Feb 7 2025, 09:41 AM) This one have to check with both TM and Maxis. Last I heard, TM not allow 2 providers running on same infra on same address. I had once running both using a single ONU but two different routers. One for Maxis and the other for Unifi. They're on different VLAN though. |

Got my 10 years old ONU replaced with the GN630V (Skyworth) and was setup as bridge. Yay! Now the limit is my devices, my PC has only gigabit, so not reaching 1000Mbps when doing speed test. I guess that should be fine. My switch also 1000Mbps, but my Mesh is 2.5GBps ports.

QUOTE(MarcoFromTropoja @ Feb 7 2025, 02:59 PM) *** NO FREE SPEED UPGRADE LIKE SWU 4.0 500mbps (UPGRADE TO 1GBPS) The above is not quite true, I believe they're kind of flexible since mine has the 1Gbps upgrade |

QUOTE(bergstein @ Feb 19 2025, 06:17 PM) Went to TM Point today, asked "my current 300mbps RM129 plan contract already finished, any promo for renew?" You can initiate a chat with Maya, ask for billing related and they can tell you how much you need to pay etc. I just did yesterday to confirm my package and monthly payment.can skip following story just write down for record/fun: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The offer I got is 300mbps + 6 months waived + 12 months Disney+ Hotstar for RM119 BUT must get Unifi Mobile plan Now I'm more skeptical on the RM119 part, is it really RM119 (RM126 after SST)? Because sources here mostly says 129 for 300mbps. I don't see any way (unifi app/website/etc) to verify that now, have to wait until 7th month bill arrive? bergstein liked this post

So SWU 5.0 is really really flexible. Depending on how you approach them and ask I guess

QUOTE(muhammadnajmi96 @ Feb 20 2025, 10:09 AM) Hi, can we apply for swu5.0 at unifi store instead of tmpoint? since most of tmpoint is open on weekday only? As long as it is not dealer, then it is okay. You need to bring your dad along, they need to get his thumbprint on a reader.and also since currently under my dad name, do i have to bring him also or i can just print a letter and copy of his ic for doing the swu? |

QUOTE(hcolin @ Feb 23 2025, 08:43 PM) Hi there You probably need to enable port forwarding. Take a look at what you've setup on your old router.Ever since I swap my router to the Unifi Skyworth GN630V, I am not able to access my Xiaomi Camera or VPN into my NAS. I suspect I need to enable some setting on the router. Anybody had similar experience? Thanks in advance |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Feb 24 2025, 10:12 AM) If currently i'm using SWU 4.0 (300mbps - RM119 / month for 24m waive first 6 months) and wanna upgrade speed. You can't get SWU 5.0 until your current SWU 4.0 contract ends. You can upgrade but they'll probably charge the normal price. Check in your my unifi app, it should show you what package you could upgrade to and how much is the cost. Can go for SWU 5.0 ? or only 4.0 version of 500mbps, hmm |
