I would actually avoid using any subscription-based, paid DNS solution as an alternative for the time being.

Since this isn't the final version of the DNS block wall that will be rolled out to everyone, they may decide to block those paid DNS services as well. TM may be checking based on how many connections to haram websites are blocked by their poisoning, how many are bypassed and the methods used to bypass. My guess is that they must have some kind of number that they have to meet for the new restrictions to be deemed 'sufficient' by MCMC/Fahmi/whoever is in charge, otherwise this would have been released nationwide already.

IMO better to wait and see just how many DNS services will be blocked when everyone gets blocked, then start to find alternatives. For all you know, by then only VPNs will work.

Nope. I temporarily disabled the block on the 'porn' category in our office firewall to test this. After confirming the results, I re-enabled the block.

Perhaps the area isn't blocked yet, as both my office in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, and my house in SS 19, Subang are still not restricted. Both locations are less than 5 km of each other.

AdGuard DoH in browser on Unifi (JB) and Celcom both can load the site.

AdGuard’s DNS routing is funky though. On Unifi, it’s an AdGuard resolver based in Istanbul. On Celcom, it’s a Singapore AdGuard resolver, but I see a ton of CloudFlare chloe hostnames listed also. Creepy.

Ps: Most Singapore and China ISPs/DNS providers, and few Malaysia data centers DNS still working fine.

Hopefully this is what they'll do the most. Blocking all possible DNS servers nearby don't seems to be friendly among those ''elite users''

Interesting. Not at home yet but no issues with DoH on Firefox and Chrome last time I checked (this morning).

So far, all the *ahem* *ahem* sites are still accessible on Maxis with DoT on Android. No problems on Yes either.
