hi,
my unifi rm129 300mbps contract end last month. I visited TM point and they refused to offer any swu package. so I went to maxis and take the agent offer which is rm89 100mbps without any landline, free 3 months + 1 month offer fr agent. After 2-3 days, Unifi call me and offer me rm79 100mbps free 6 months, landline with 600 mins free call, so i quickly grab this offer.
*
I just showed the staff a piece of paper with info below .
kontrak tamat
swu 4.0
rm79 / 100mbps.

that is all. I was offered rm79 100mbps free 6 months but no free call.

Any 1Gbps subscribers here?

Mind helping to confirm whether your upload speed is higher than 500mbps?

Was just doing something and wanted to speedtest and noticed my speedtest upload speed exceeded 500mbps (On my VM and router)

I would rather subscribe to low speed and having control over my equipment (wired/wireless router) rather than stuck with some crap equipment provided by TM at least for now, double-NAT is possible, but not worth it.

The UONU RG provides three modes: pure GPON Router, GPON-Bridge, and another mode whose name I cannot recall. It would be great if it supports bridging to avoid the double-NAT issue, which essentially converts the RG from fiber to Ethernet media converter. This would enable our third-party router to take over the PPPoE configuration. However, I am not entirely sure about the meaning of "GPON-bridge".

You can use it as a pure GPON ONU like the lower speeds ZTE/Huawei/Fibrehome ONU, just have to set it up by yourself, and you’ll be limited to 940Mbps since GBe port overhead is a thing, I’ve used it in that mode before for a bit before going to GPON ONU SFP

Router Mode, GPON Bridge, RG Mode, RG is only for ATA from what it seems for now. My FX3060V is currently only in ATA mode serving pure VoIP mode

Have you ever changed it to GPON Bridge and let a third-party router take over PPPoE configurations and VOIP setup?

PPPoE yes, not VoIP, as I’m not certain on how the settings for VoIP would be in a consumer grade router, and as expected 940Mbps max of DL and nothing more

VoIP for my setup was still on the D-Link ONR, I just set up the connection so that the port act as a bridge for the incoming fiber from TM, VLAN 500 was also on the ONR and not on my router

It’s probably possible but I have never tried to set that up on router, only after I’ve started to use GPON ONU SFP in my OPNSense box and pass through VLAN *400 to it
