did you submit your employment letter, house mortgage or any loans etc? you have to submit as many docs as possible to avoid rejection

you can appeal, but not sure pay how much though
*
I did not submit my employment letter, house mortgage loan document but i did submit my house pintu cukai from DBKL to prove that I own a house. And that house is currently rented out and I have submitted stamped tenancy agreement. but it was still rejected.

are you getting stable income? i have a friend who submitted everything but maybe because he was an insurance agent (at the time of application) and wasn’t getting consistent/fixed income, he got rejected. but then he appealed and got it eventually

How do you consider consistent income? Fix amount every month? I am working as a customer service, so my monthly income varies based the extra pay i get working on public holiday and quarterly bonus.

I personally don't think that's enough to show you own a house. You need to show that you have commitments in Malaysia like a house mortgage and work that you have to go back to.

Should I re-apply ETA or appeal the current application and submit my mortgage loan document?

Not sure which would be a better option for you. Probably appeal if there is an option to appeal. Better let others with similar experience answer this question of yours.

For future visa/ETA applications, best to submit everything. The more supporting documents the better.

Below are the reason given. I already attached all the document including my payslip epf statement, income tax BE form, asset I own, bank statement. Yet I was rejected

I have considered the evidence submitted in support of the applicant’s circumstances,
financial capacity and commitments in their country of residence.
Following due consideration of this evidence, I am not satisfied the applicant’s personal
circumstances are such that they have sufficient incentive to return to their country of
residence at the end of any stay in Australia.
After considering all the information provided with the application, I am not satisfied the
applicant meets the requirements of clause 601.212(a) or 601.212(b).

Geezus... honestly, that's quite an insulting reply. It's almost like they are insinuating that every Malaysian is a potential aeroplane jumper. Man, I'd be boiling if that happened to me...

Sorry I don't have any helpful hints on top of whatever else the others have said, but I can share that when I applied for a visitor's visa for my domestic helper to come over to Australia with us earlier this year, I submitted evidence of her employment (ie her employment contract with us), but also evidence of my bank savings in Australia as well as in Singapore. She got her visa within a week. It seems so random.

Good luck with your appeal or reapplication!

The most important information they want is whether you are at risk of jumping plane. That risk is low for someone who has a stable well paying job in Malaysia.

That's your main information you want to give them.

The other information that predicts low risk is if your are wealthy. That's where your bank accounts and savings and assets enter the picture.

Finally, the risk is low for the elderly.

better do research first on which is the best option. if you got the chance to appeal, make sure you submit as many docs as possible including your planned itinerary, hotel (if you have reserved without paying first), any ongoing loans. any friends or family members over there? maybe you can list them as someone who can sponsor your trip etc.

If your ETA is rejected, do you have to indicate that when the ask “have you ever had a visa application rejected”?

just because u have formal employment, family and mortgage doesn't mean u wont jump aeroplane..
u cud have quit ur job one week before travelling to jump aeroplane to earn money for your family and mortgage..

even travelling with your family there u could get rejected by immigration..
u can easily enter with ur wife and children then later they go back themselves..

basically it is up to the mood of the approving officer..
dont be surprised if u get rejected even though u earn 10k/month.. while u have 7k loan to pay and 2 kids to feed..

learnt this a decade ago while blowing water with an immigration agent/runner at the Australian embassy in KL.. waiting to apply for my australian TIN

tough case. did you show them your asset? epf, banks etc.

not too sure if mortgage would prevent me from overstaying - i may just overstay earn more money to finance my property back home.

most important is still your job, try ask your employer write letter that you will be back for work.

Do you have a specific reason on visiting Australia besides tourism? Maybe you could try get an invite from someone who is a citizen and can vouch for you?

If all else fails just go to Europe la hahah

Also, I think they do checking like loan application when giving you visa

In their eyes, if you have too much commitment and not enough income, the only reason you would pay for a ticket to Australia is to work there and send money back for your commitments?

Like even if you earn 10k but have a 5K housing loan and 2k car loan, they would assume you do not have enough money to travel?

It is very discriminatory yes, but you can go to warga Malaysia in Australia Facebook group and read the amount of nonsense and boasting people do there about their overstaying

One lady said she was illegally staying in Korea, then she wanted he children to grow up somewhere else, so now she is illegally staying in Australia and made a false claim of asylum. She also mentioned to others that you can still come to Australia if you overstayed in other countries because they don’t check??

Like bro already doing illegal stuff and then broadcasting it to being in more people and embarrass us

Actually my company wanted me to go to our HQ in Melbourne to have training for a month. Due to my colleague visa application was rejected before using business visit a few month back, therefore the bosses asked me to apply under tourist and see if my visa can be approved. But it's still the same. Perhaps getting travel agency to apply for me now is a better choice. I heard people said if I apply under travel agency the chances it get approve is a lot higher.
