SSD is quite fast for all task. With using external HDD or SDHC/ flash drive. So, the memory problem had solved.
And had try the Wifi browsing for 3 hours non stop (view friend's friendster profile + youtube), still left 20%.
Quite surprise to get this result.

EEE PC is for who need the real mobility feature with light task.
But Eee PC with Win XP is near perfect as laptop with just the screen smaller and lack of internal memory.
What i found that EEE PC is worth for money is (XP): 1. SSD 2. LED Backlight screen 3. Small and light for easy to take it/ use it everywhere. 4. And yes, able to run some games like WarCraft3 and StarCraft. 5. No problem viewing RMVB and AVI movie clip. 6. Battery life.....superb

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Dec 15 2007, 01:48 AM) You can just install it ler.. have to tweak. Mine boots pretty quick.. 30sec thereabout. Installation size nlite'd including a bunch of apps --> 1.13gb which means got more space to add more crap compared with the default xandros by install nlite xp ?

I installed the full WinXP SP2, then just got rid of the page file since I had upgrade to 2GB of RAM.
RMVB is no problem Moderate bit rate AVI no problem. H264, ie MKV... nope.. no chance...

i got a laptop as my main rig (in fact i prefer laptop than desktop) then i saw this asus EEE pc, it's cheap and nice. Then i started to think about it, for 1.5k for the laptop, around rm200 for 2gb ram upgrade, plus 8gb of sdhc.... it may cost over 2k..... for 2k i can get a 12 inch compaq laptop wif core 2 duo from my fren (can't tell u guys where and how to get, pls do not pm me...)...
but...i still think EEE pc is a great thing.... at least the portability wins all notebook in the market....

First of all.. for some unknown reasons... the prices are bloody expensive in KL. Then of course you can't compare official price stuff vs fall of lorry stuffs.

In fact, some things are even cheaper than in KL. But eeepc are unnecessarily expensive lor.
