Actually bro, we have nothing left in Malaysia apart from the RM550,000 in our Maybank Taman Perling account. I’ve hung on for as long as I have to my IC and passport simply out of sentimentality….

But, with early retirement in Australia planned for within the next 1 to 2 years, this may not be a bad time to finally throw in the towel and swap the blue for a pink one.

Unless you foresee staying in My > 30 days straight, just swap. Your Mrs already swap. Moreover, You don’t gain any benefit at immigration clearance since you need to wait for her if you enter Malaysia 😆

I hope that after I pay IRAS $1000+, my PR application with ICA will be approved. I have already submitted the early Form B1.

Normally, can I make the payment in April?

Hi guys! Something not related to SPR, but can I ask if anybody still retain their Malaysian insurance policy if they don’t reside in Malaysia?

Is there an exclusion clause whereby if you don’t reside for X days, it will be deemed invalid for any claims?

Not sure, but it should be the same.

I tell some tips for you.

No. Instructions
1. Avoid using Tuas Customs.
2. Second Link doesn't have Singapore company buses, only Causeway Link buses, which provide poor service and long queues.
3. Take the MRT to Woodlands MRT, then walk to Woodlands Bus Interchange. From there, take bus 856 to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint and walk to Woodlands Customs.
4. After clearing your passport at the automatic machine, take buses 160, 170, or 950 to JB.
5. It's better to take a Singapore bus as you can use your EZ-Link or Nets card. You can also take Causeway Link buses CW1 or CW2. (Freedom of you)
6. All three Singapore buses are in the same lane, so it doesn't matter which one you take; you just need to cross the causeway to reach Johor Bahru Customs.
7. Morning buses at 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM are fine for traveling back to Johor Bahru from Singapore. There's no traffic jam, and seats are available.

Yes legit. My insurance guy told me .. I am under GE.

What you have to do is to be in malaysia every 90 days .. as long as u step in malaysia .. and leave .. the count starts.

So example, you stayed in sg without stepping into malaysia for 100 days .. you're not eligible for insurance claim .. on the other hand .. if you go out on the 100th day .. and return to sg .. your 90 days count restarts again .. so if anything happens, for instance, in the 40th day .. u still can claim

To be safe just get a medical card .. it would cost around 1k .. depending on your age..

Took me a while to finally figure out Bentong MSK. Been in Singapore too long. Used to reading it as Bentong MSW. Goddamnit. Might as well hand in my blue IC and trade for a pink one right away… kidding.

Lemme hold on to the last bit of me that still makes me Malaysian for a little bit longer….
