This has been asked many times before albeit the official docs saying that. Most malaysians never translate including my colleagues, my cousin etc. all hv no issues hvg it approved. And besides if they really do need translation they will inform u, they wont outright reject u because of this

If you have high salary and many cpf or epf or deposit in bank, then can retire at 40.....

Many people retire at 50.......
You have s pass or EP?
*
EP, yea i have done my calculations, 35-40 should be a safe time with min 1 mil sgd. dont deposit in bank tho, make sure u invest ur savings in safe yet high returns places like snp500, berkshire etc.
i guess 10 years of working in sg is equivalent to 30-40 years of work in malaysia.

The beauty of it is if your income in Singapore is high enough, you have choices to retire at whatever age you wish.
*
i wonder if the average singaporean have that option. Truly lucky to be malaysian to get the best of both worlds.

Will you be working back in KL though? SGD1m won’t get you very far nowadays….
*
1 mil sgd with the average snp 500 annual return of 7%. let say i spend a conservative 3% / year is more than 100kmyr. enough for me.

Gotta factor in inflation though…
*
yea the other 4 % is to counter inflation. but who knows, a lost decade may happen again. and im only 25 this year, 10 more years my circumstances could be totally diff. ill just enjoy the ride for now haha

Facing the same conundrum. Without extended family in SG, it’s quite surreal to pack up your bags and return.
*
Set up a plan, what do u want in life? Life is so short, do u want to work till you r old? Do u want to retire early and travel around the world maybe. Plan out your life for the next 15 years including your finances etc

For me its not because of family, i just realise theres more to life than work, i do the bare minimum at my work now and go back earlier or on time.

Not so much for myself. I have enough to retire with my spouse. The consideration changes when you have young ones. Don’t find any place where the 2nd generation has to work harder than their 1st gen economic migrants.
*
True i wouldnt want my kids to waste 2 years serving ns . So sg is out of the question. Australia sounds like a good place, maybe ill migrate there

You all really sour and can’t accept truth. No need to pay, as long as you have the talent needed, everything is auto fast tracked.
*
Not sour bro, cause if u really did get within 3 weeks means u get paid really high or smtg.. cause i know of many nus/ ntu eng grads making 5k -7k starting get only after 1 year.. maybe ur in a medical field also..

Your lack of mannerism and respect to personal space in your line of questioning is exactly like a sporean. Congrats for your early adoption of great spore culture.
*
Bruh we r online, we talk with facts and figures. Whats the point of hiding ur pay, hiding the field ur working in when u r anonymous.. theres no such thing as personal space online.

U r here, not telling what so called hideen talent u hv, where u study, how old u r, ur pay, what so called extra benefits u got with ur ep. Then what do others gain reading ur posts? None. Its serious kopitiam

I hope that after I pay IRAS $1000+, my PR application with ICA will be approved. I have already submitted the early Form B1.

Normally, can I make the payment in April?

I applied under my wife (citizen). However, I was already employed for 2 months prior to my application.

Your case is similar but different at the same time. I would say the chance would be low given that you're a PR not a citizen, she may need to secure at least a job.

Get her a LTVP .. at least she gets to stay in sg wit you and look for a job.
*
its still so tough looking for a job.How long did it take for your approval?
