Yes legit. My insurance guy told me .. I am under GE.

What you have to do is to be in malaysia every 90 days .. as long as u step in malaysia .. and leave .. the count starts.

So example, you stayed in sg without stepping into malaysia for 100 days .. you're not eligible for insurance claim .. on the other hand .. if you go out on the 100th day ..  and return to sg .. your 90 days count restarts again .. so if anything happens, for instance, in the 40th day .. u still can claim

To be safe just get a medical card .. it would cost around 1k .. depending on your age..

Ya and mine is just medical card , so it don’t not affect if only medical card ? No limit on 90days ?

Many will say don’t marry Sg girl. But on hindsight, when I started work, pay wasn’t great but I get to stay at my wife’s (then gf) family home. That helped me save on rent n build up savings/CPF to acquire my home. In short, don’t simply dismiss Sg girls are all one kind.

90 days is applicable to medical card too. What I was saying was to get a medical card in sg .. not the one in malaysia if you wan to be safe.

Took me a while to finally figure out Bentong MSK. Been in Singapore too long. Used to reading it as Bentong MSW. Goddamnit. Might as well hand in my blue IC and trade for a pink one right away… kidding.

Lemme hold on to the last bit of me that still makes me Malaysian for a little bit longer….
*
Yeah no hurry ma.
For pink no age limitation, unlike PR < 45 or 47 (can't remember for sure)

Is it difficult to obtain Permanent Residency in Singapore for individuals over the age of 45?

That's what I've been told ... and frankly speaking, if the majority of my wealth is parked in Singapore, I have my medical practice licensed and incorporated in Singapore and my wife is a Singaporean, my application is supposedly a formality.

I'll wait until the very last minute, then pull the proverbial trigger if I have to.

If you are capable enough, no need to see SG/MY girls. Just get someone compatible with you and work together. Rent is a small part

Any update from any applicants so far? Just hit my 6 months mark ..

Did anyone write in to ask before? I guess most of us here are men, ladies seem to have better privilege over us. Most of them got it within 6 to 8 months.

Probably no news (which is good news, since there's no rejection)... so no updates.

Singapore isn't in a hurry these days.

Which is why I'm thinking of taking up the citizenship offer before they change their minds and make me wait/beg/grovel....

One of the reasons why I’m not so confident about PR renewal is because of the anecdotal experience of so many PRs in waiting…. I don’t think as a retiree, my heart can cope with the suspense!

Whose CPF? Mine? Oh please. I only have about SGD1m in the CPF and since I’ll be unemployed in Singapore next year, that amount is more or less fixed. It’s a drop in the vast ocean that is the total CPF monies…. They can’t give a shit about me.
