Hi guys, just wondering if I could get some help here regarding my IPTV box and fibre modem.

Currently using these since the start of my subscription, I still have an active contract with Unifi, is it possible to request for a replacement without charge?  I contacted Live Chat and I was told the set top box replacement cost RM300.

Buy 2nd hand set top box (less than RM100) and ask TM to bind the new one with your account.

I did change mine twice already. Now I'm on 3rd set top box. sweat.gif Bought 2nd hand.

Hello guys, anybody noticing that YouTube profile pictures for some comments and account are refusing to load on mobile ? iPhone and Android having issues at my home. iPad and Pc no issues.

Could it be a cloudflare or ipv6 issue ?

How to check if my area is under coverage?

Googled, check unifi website etc. Don't even have a simple link to check for coverage. Google links to some random unifi resellers site, which request for my details before allowing me to check. No way I'm going to give my details to some dodgy looking site.

Cmon tmnet, 2021 already still behaving like some useless chekai company.

OK thanks. But what a pointless management decision. What they should do is to improve their service quality and price. If they can are competitive who can steal their customers? See time, unifi go and try "steal" their customer la.

I've been a unifi customer (forced) before time came to my place few years ago, straight away changed due to tm's underhand and opaque tactics. Different pricing and discounts depending on who called you, whether u need to "threaten" them with termination, whether you walk in or go thru certain resellers etc. Totally no transparency.

Seems that after few years nothing much changed at all... doh.gif

If you have FB, you can join this group. Because in the group other than Unifi Agent, there are also certified Unifi Technician members including technicians from Headquarters. You just have to ask them without giving any of your personal data information. For me, this group is very helpful to us directly because it is from experts and not from customer service.

TM Unifi Members https://www.facebook.com/groups/tmunifimembers/ thumbup.gif

hopefully this can help you with regards to unifi coverage in your residential area

disclaimer: this is not an official group from TM

Here's a fun method.
Look outside your house and see the telephone poles nearby.
If there is a big black box (A4 size) with black and yellow cable coming out of it, then congrats, you have unifi fibre coverage.

Yes its fibre.

Maybe the port is fully utilized. Maybe its reserved for other use.

it's time to report to skmm. The similar as yours, TM reserved the FDP to the school nearby my house. My argument was, what is the main purpose to reserve a FDP with 8 ports to a small kampung primary school, and that school never subs any fiber installation from them for almost a year. Few weeks later TM agree to pull the fiber to my home.

There are few conversations between me and TM staff, skmm is something like a middle man. 2 diff TM officers attended my case, the first closed my case with a simple respond, no coverage at my address at the moment. I reopen it again, and argued again. The next weeks, TM staff called me and wanted to see the site of disputed. He brought along with his someone at higher ranked that can straight away give decision to let my application approve or not. Thankfully, he said ok, and next few days the installer came to pull the cable to my house and fixed the modem and router.
Roughly it took about 3 weeks when I complained to skmm until the final solution day, just few days before new year 2021.
Doesn't matter there is school or not, any FDP that the port still vacant to subs into, fight to get it.

QUOTE(Jjuggler @ Jan 19 2021, 03:01 PM)
Pakai CAT 6. Brands like UGREEN, Dintek, D-Link, Prolink is good. I personally using CAT 7 from UGREEN for my wired devices.
*
Do i need CAT 7 ? 300mbps for unifi ?
Amount all brand , which is is better?
I saw ugreen is way cheapereven 50% cheaper than prolink , like rm20 vs rm40.
QUOTE(taqu @ Jan 19 2021, 08:47 PM)
I use white CAT 6 flat cables from 20 cm to 5m, bought from SubTel Shopee. Easy to bend and look nice too.
