Always like this, not a big news.
Even within contract, change any plan also renew contract.

Now only wait for faster plan, otherwise no more plan change or renew plan for me. brows.gif

is there such thing as, you need to turn on/off your Unifi modem everyday so your network wont hang ? Got this answer from live chat assistance.

My connection very slow, wifi around few kbps using speedtest.net, even with 5G, requested support with live chat, they say my modem last restart is 4 days ago, thats why the network hang.

Got such thing ? confused.gif confused.gif confused.gif

Not for me. My modem is on all the time. Only TNB turns it off and on for me. My router also.

I would turn off only when there’s a fierce thunderstorm. Afraid of striking down the TV more than the router since TV is more expensive tongue.gif .
The connection is still quite stable without turning off.
However, when using the router from TM, the connection could get unstable after some time. Restarting both the ONU and router solved the issue.

me too, I will turn it off during thunderstorm. I don't want to take any risk frying any of the devices. I can still live without internet for 30 mins since mine is not an ISP that have obligation to turn it on most of the time 🤭

Mine is OK on Unifi. IPv6 is currently off. Try turning that off and see if that helps.

How to check if my area is under coverage?

Googled, check unifi website etc. Don't even have a simple link to check for coverage. Google links to some random unifi resellers site, which request for my details before allowing me to check. No way I'm going to give my details to some dodgy looking site.

Cmon tmnet, 2021 already still behaving like some useless chekai company.
*
Yes, I agree. Not a simple way to check our coverage.

But what I will usually do is to register as a 'new customer' on any of the Fibre packages > fill up my details including the TAC number > in the next screen, I can type in my address and could immediately see if it's under UNIFI or BROADBAND (streamyx). Kind of a stupid way but hey, apparently it's the only way!

No problem here with IPv6 enabled or disabled.

Probably IPv4 congestion issue?

Try enable IPv6 and see how its going.

I turned off IPv6 to test, it loads faster but still extremely inconsistent compared to before last week.

Thanks all for the info though !

Yeah it’s so very weird. Like 50% of the profile pictures load instantly. Another 30% take a few seconds and the final 20% will take up to a minute 😂😂😂

Did TM installed some kind of transparent proxy behind their IPv4 network?
