Good old days of playing PS2 with CRT tv. Worry of losing the memory card is greater than the hardware spec.

Yeah me too. I'm just sticking with my 4k 60Hz TV even if I've the money to spend. It's Good enough.

Just get a 1TB sata SSD and use it with an enclosure.

Should start looking into UHD TVs, the resolution is not really the selling point. But rather HDR just adds a whole new dimension to a game (if done well of course).

Agreed to this HDR is whole new level compare to SDR. It is like DVD and bluray different. 4k distance abit far wont be very visible, but hdr memang diff

I've seen some games like RDR2 and TLOU2 played with HDR on, but I'm one of those that actually prefer SDR. Seems like there's was an over correction of gamma on the screen. But that's just my opinion

RDR2 hdr implementing is crap. Some call it fake hdr. Just brighten everything up and the highlight is barely seen.

Not sure on TLOU2. But TLOU1 hdr is great.

Also it depends on the TV HDR nit lvls also. If your tv HDR is at 400 nits and below, it will look crappy and wash out.
