I don't see a problem with comparing tech specs, as long as it remains in that discussion.

But fanbois love to bring price into the argument all the time.

Youve just proven my point. If youre looking for a purely gaming "best bang for buck" machine then consoles are a no brainer

If you want something more then get a PC. PCs are not competing with consoles and vice versa

Then again for those who say its just a gpu and you need all the extra costs to properly enjoy a rig, dont forget you'll probably need a new tv with hdmi 2.1 to make the most out of your consoles. Point is neither of these hobbies are "budget-friendly" anymore

I have both. You can do the same with the PC from a recliner.

Long time PC does not exist in my home, only the work laptop brought home just in case need to follow up anything.

If gonna spend further I think I may go for laser projector.

There will be things consoles can do better but honestly? When it comes to IQ and >60fps (or 30fps for single player AAA) next gen you might be better off with a PC.

Consoles are made for a casual target audience in mind. PC being modular means that the chances of much better performance being on that platform is higher.

Anyway, I love some of the exclusive games that are on consoles so I'm really looking forward to my PS5. Games is what matters anyway

Weird flex but okay Just so you know, you can do all that with a PC. Heck a mini ITX that is no larger than a console can be tenfold better in performance AND fit under your entertainment unit. Just to put it in perspective

I think ppl need to stop comparing the price of one GPU to a console.

Cuz a GPU alone definitely cant play a game. It cant do anything at all.

Entry level laser projectors are not actually using laser... if you're talking about a true laser projector that is entry level, it'll cost more than both a top of the line PC and PS5 combined.

Sorry..... I wasn't the one started the whole PC vs console thingy, there's no comparison between the 2 for me.

I stick to console as it's value for money and also simplicity of use, just like all my other home entertainment equipment, all entry level only.

People tend to forget the good old times of gaming where all you need is a crt tv. Now its all about kiasu comparing which ones the fastest, who can get the console earliest and etc
