I placed my order in Gaming Gadgets facebook at 12pm sharp as evident from the time stamp of the message. I bet there are plenty of others who would have done the same. Not sure how they're gonna select the ones who made it into the list.

As much as we feel very disappointed I don't think this warrants us to use profanity at them. Don't get me wrong, I understand the frustration but these kind of situations do happen and we just have to accept it. We can just voice out our frustration.

Yep agreed. They make the product themselves and they could have done something about it. My hunch is that there is just so severe shortage and maybe they do not have any unsold units lying anywhere to reallocate. At least they should give some discount or a free game and put them in batch 2.

Can't believe it. Sony themselves cancelling or postponing to a later batch. I wonder what will 3rd party retailers do. I think I remember seeing someone reported sen heng doing the same. Not sure about other retailers. This is killjoy.

Yeah me too. My 5 years old LG still good enough. It can do max 4K@60Hz and it has one HDMI port which supports HDR. I just bought a new HDMI cable very 2.1 as my current one is ver 1.4. Not the best hardware to get the fullest experience out of this console but it's good enough for me. Ain't gonna splurge $$ on a new TV set even if I have the $$ right now.

No. The last message from them was on 14th Novermber saying that my name will on the waiting list first and once they have confirmed, they will send a notification in 3-5 working days. This is work day 3. Let's wait till Friday.

Then HDMI version 1.4 cable and port is good enough. For next gen I expect baseline is 4k@60
But I guess, as you said, maybe just ok enough.

Yesterday I called Sony The Curve. The person said not accepting any more orders. She only added me into the waiting list which, according to her already had 350 + over people. I just gave my particulars and yeah, I'm not expecting much from this.

Yeah me too. I'm just sticking with my 4k 60Hz TV even if I've the money to spend. It's Good enough.

I bought a 3 meter hdmi 2.1 cable.
I am thinking if I should I put it vertically on my subwoofer which is sitting on the floor or just leave it on the TV cabinet.
Anyway getting the console soon is just wishful thinking. I wasn't successful in all the POs. My name is just in the waiting list of Sony Curve. I am not having high hopes.

Heck, I'll not buy even if it's sold at a rm200 premium. Yes,
stock is scarce now but it won't be like this forever. If it means waiting till next quarter, then be it!
