Yeah hopefully next gen will be dual physical sims, not 1 physical + 1 esim like in Fold and Z Flip. But seems unlikely, they tend to follow previous gen in term of compact/minimalist.

I buy Z Flip first then Fold later. I got intrigued to test the Fold with big screen. The Z Flip flipped is better mechanism than Fold but both are satisfying when open and close.  |

the z fold 2 is not getting those N20U camera setup. This is just sad. It would have been a buy if it did so.
Now it is a hard choice if want to get the N20U or not. |

It comes with 1 time screen replacement with is good. But Senheng is better as got extra 1 year warranty with them. 2 years should be a norm for high keras phone.

Ok I just Live Chat with Samsung MY rep, that confirmed pre-order from their website won't get the 1 time crack replacement as per chat below. This can be add later with their package for around RM200+ or with extra 1 year warranty around RM300+
This one is from Urban Republic with 1 time crack replacement extra offer. Extended warranty plan also available. 
For Senheng, just need to be a member an entitle to get the extra 1 year warranty iinm. So for now, Urban Republic is better offer than others. |

Just that the screen is too small and camera really not that great. Compact yes very good, it really get an attention everywhere you go. The sounds to flip and close really satisfied in some way. The crease? It's not bothering me, but sometimes like to touch the crease and feel it No screen issues and battery life is okay for me as I don't see SOT as my main focus to buy a phone. The best feature of Z Flip that implemented on Z Fold 2 is let it still on the table and snap a picture or taking video. I wish to have a hands on the fold. Guess I should save abit more for the fold then |

I heard from review, if you take the mystic black it will be finger print magnet for your unit.
I ask the sales people for Urban R, they took out the glass and let me play for 1 min kinda impressed by it. |

Going in full steam with this beast. Looking for a Pad to run it as a dedicated PC Samsung Dex PC, Wireless Dex works on the aging Samsung TV , but even the pop up notification says it’s an old TV with not optimal experience. Dex Pad will fix that, Fold lays flat on the pad as trackpad, charges the Fold with additional USB ports for USB peripheral, and built in fcooling for the Fold 2 while running Dex desktop. Plan to get foldable keyboard with trackpad to navigate around Dex desktop, as for games, PS4 controller works fine. So at home: becomes dedicated Dex PC with wired mouse and keyboard if necessary thanks to the Dex Pad. HDMI to TV. Wireless mouse keyboard for working from sofa. Wireless Dex if really lazy to plug in and just wanna check out mails on larger screen. Outside: portable G-Story USB-C thin and light monitor powered by USB-C power bank. Typing or using 3rd party stylus?Im babying the fold too myself but looking at my usage pattern, I'll be comfotable with using it like normal after 2 weeks. No point keeping it babied if not used proper. Or pair a mouse with it and never press any screen, keeping it new. |

Just collected mine this afternoon. Had a busy time moving everything from my Note 10+ to this new baby. A folding screen is so wonderful! Haha. Never been so excited since the Note 1 came out as the largest screen for that time. Reading manga and watching netflix on this is awesome! Sound is super clear too. Didn't quite like the Buds Live. I guess I’m the only one excited for the Dex feature. Just got my portable foldable keyboard with track pad, and even with the unoptimised Wireless Dex with the old Samsung TV I had, the mouse tracking is faster on the paired foldable keyboard with trackpad than running my fingers on the Fold cover screen, smudging it further. Only need the Dex Pad to arrive from Taiwan bought on shopee, already shipped less than 24 hours from the minute I clicked Buy. Only need to keep an HDMI port open in every roomTV I move around, the Dex Pad is as big as Note only and with USB-C power bank I always carry around, that’ll power the Fold snug in the Pad, add in the foldable wireless keyboard, I’m set. Computing everywhere with Samsung Dex, zdorovo! Still have not unboxed the Buds Live, or the Mont Blanc thing. Too impressed with the Fold and what it could do. NatalieRath liked this post

For those looking to ease single hand operations on the fold, you can look for Good Lock app on Galaxy Store. It includes tons of customisation options including app resizing to tame misbehaving apps like Instagram.
Good Lock is restricted iseveral market Galaxy Store. Malaysia not included in that market, so you need to VPN in to access. I use Windscribe VPN, set it to Dallas, US Central. Force close and clear all data on Galaxy Store. Restart Galaxy Store with the VPN dialled in to Dallas server, you will see Good Lock. It finally gives full screen Instagram to me, and one hand operation by moving the cursor right to far left top corner even with you thumb still working on the bottom right corner in single hand operation. Also changed the colour theme of the notification shade to match the Mystic Bronze, or you can make your own based on your colour theme/ wallpapers you’re using. Endless customisation from aesthetics to advanced features. Mont Blanc Urban Racing Spirit Pocket 5cc card holder still available. Still in its fancy ribboned packaging. I'm not gonna risk getting dubious protection from unknown casemaker brands either , its an 8k phone, the least you can do is get a case that's made by the manufacturer of the phone itself. Just my 2 Russian kopeks/2 sen opinion. |

I heard Spigen Tough Case not as good as UAG Civilian Armor. Spigen Tough Case for the first fold you need to PRESS the spine into the armor when you fold it. Got a big clack sound

Someone wanna take a look at the VRS Design case for Fold 2? I’m eyeing this intensely but I need confirmation that the front case doesn’t click edge swipes. I am using with the Samsung leather back cover, but i think the leather for the Fold1 cover feels nicer as it has a textured soft feel, the Fold2 leather cover is hard and smooth...

While waiting for UAG, I am currently using this Shopee
The front screen cover is too thick and block me from swiping the top bar for notification a lot. Hopefully UAG or Spigen has thinner front cover bezels to make it more comfortable to use. |

Just got my Fold 2. So excited 😁 and still being cautious and careful when using the inner screen. The 'glass' feels a bit soft unlike normal glass on a phone.
Still looking for a case. Was trying to find the brown leather case but not available anywhere. |

I just got the brown leather official cover. The brown shade and quality are OK but definitely not worth the current price of RM399. Really cutthroat price considering that it's just a single piece of case to protect the back of the device.

Finally spent the day outside without a laptop. This phone with the bigger size really can replace my laptop. The multi windows really helps. Now just hope esim update happens soon. Have to carry my old phone as well is cumbersome

What luck, kak povezlo!! If you have the official Nintendo Switch Charging Stand (this one https://store.nintendo.com/adjustable-charg...ndo-switch.html)with variable angle, it fits the Fold 2, on portrait mode folded! With the Aramid case its even a nice snug fit. The best part is that this stand charges your Fold 2 with that USB-C port angled outward on the side, just plug in your charger or power bank there, even when the Fold is standing tall in portrait mode.
I also use an old Wii U Game Pad Stand ( this one https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/ima...SL._SL1000_.jpg), not the charging cradle, just the stand for the Game Pad. Fits the Fold 2 in portrait mode folded, or enfolded! Moral of the story, never throw away old stuff they may come in handy. I also have a tablet stand that folds smaller but that I use for the Switch. It fits and works too as a stand for Fold 2 ( this one https://shopee.com.my/Foldable-Swivel-Phone...8925.2250107690). Or use the Aramid Case as intended.  But the accidental discovery that the small official Nintendo Switch Charging Stand works with Fold 2 with that 90 degrees angled outward USB-C port allowing charging even the Fold is in portrait mode standing tall, is a pleasant surprise. |

My collection of (mostly) cheap and nasty cases, purchased from Shopee and Lazada (I got one more cheap one on the way, so not shown here, but looks like a super cheap version of item D)     My thoughts on each case: A Second most expensive after item C. Plain smooth plastic, no patterns on back cover. Easy to snap on and remove. Makes the phone look like a real cheap whore. B Most expensive of the lot at > RM100, purportedly made in Korea. Faux leather, one piece "book-type" case which covers entire phone. Criss-cross pattern. A real biatch to put on and remove as the sides are made of thick plastic and you may lose a fingertip or two when trying to remove it, not to mention your phone may go flying if you are a bit over-enthusiastic while removing the case. But this is the most practical of the cases here and my favourite as it really covers the entire phone. When opened, the front flap will cover the front screen when you hold the phone like a book, thus avoiding even more fingerprints, grease, and undesirable other-whatnots on the front screen. The case gives a good grip. Protects the phone when in a pocket or bag full of keys or other objects which may damage the screen. Downsides are that it makes a thick phone even thicker. The cutout for the microphone at the bottom next to the USB-C port is not aligned 100%. The felt-ish material on the inside front cover attracts dust like a whorehouse attracts oil rig workers coming ashore after 2 years at sea. Oh, and did I mention it's a pain in the behind to put on and remove? Search for "araree fold 2" in Lazada for this case. C Cheapest of the lot and it shows. No front frame. Easy to put on and remove. Shows the colour of your phone because it's transparent. Not really practical, I bought it just for shits and giggles. D Comes with front frame and back cover supposedly made of real leather. Smells like real leather to me too, but my olfactory senses aren't what they used to be 30 years ago. Easy to put on and remove as the sides are made out of thinner plastic compared to item B. Downsides are that the front frame is thick (see third and last pictures) and therefore touching and swiping edges of the front screen is going to be an exercise in patience. I got items A, C and D from Shopee, just do a search for "fold2" or "fold 2", new items are added daily, and prices can fluctuate a bit too. Finally, put a protector on the back camera lens bump. While case B may protect the entire phone, the camera lens still need protection if you plan on putting the phone on the surface. I've already stopped babying my Fold 2. New case from VRS Design shipping out on 7th Oct. Got a waterproof, padded neoprene on the inside pouch from Amazon from Onejoy. Even installed Youtube Vanced from vanced.app . Started customizing wallpapers, static or live video from WallPix, got a promo code for Pro edition of WallPixfor free. I wanted so badly to buy and install Civilization VI, that game will be glorious slavnyy on the large unfolded screen of the Fold 2,...... but device not supported. There are other ways of getting CivVI on the Fold , thinking if I should do so..... NatalieRath liked this post

I can play around with other aspect ratio, but you have to tolerate letterboxing . Here is a gentle reminder for new Z fold 2 owners in case some are not aware: Urban Republic called me on purpose to go redeem the inner screen crack protection in Samsung Members app as it's not the same as the one year warranty given to the phone. So in case some of you are notified, just go to the app and find the banner with the folding phones and do the redemption. Ignore this if you already done it, may be can pin it if many are not aware. The dealer did it for me when I purchased.
The way Samsung market it as 1 time screen replacement is quite misleading cause normally people would think its free but in actual it costs us rm600 service fee. |

I called in about the screen replacement and they said its because the screen costs more than RM2K to replace, so that RM650 is a reduced rate. Definitely not a free one-off replacement. Probably coz in the case of the first Fold the case incident was free as it was much more critical than Fold 2.
I've also checked if an extended warranty would help. I still can't find a good case with the front case. Spigen took too long to arrive from amazon.

The cutout for the microphone at the bottom next to the USB-C port is not aligned 100%. The felt-ish material on the inside front cover attracts dust like a whorehouse attracts oil rig workers coming ashore after 2 years at sea. Oh, and did I mention it's a pain in the behind to put on and remove? Search for "araree fold 2" in Lazada for this case. C Cheapest of the lot and it shows. No front frame. Easy to put on and remove. Shows the colour of your phone because it's transparent. Not really practical, I bought it just for shits and giggles. D Comes with front frame and back cover supposedly made of real leather. Smells like real leather to me too, but my olfactory senses aren't what they used to be 30 years ago. Easy to put on and remove as the sides are made out of thinner plastic compared to item B. Downsides are that the front frame is thick (see third and last pictures) and therefore touching and swiping edges of the front screen is going to be an exercise in patience. I got items A, C and D from Shopee, just do a search for "fold2" or "fold 2", new items are added daily, and prices can fluctuate a bit too. Finally, put a protector on the back camera lens bump. While case B may protect the entire phone, the camera lens still need protection if you plan on putting the phone on the surface. Hope this helps those who are looking for their "perfect" case. |

Fold 2 linked to Windows desktop wirelessly using the Your Phone app on Win10 and Link to Windows settings on the Fold. Less need to swipe up and tap screens when I'm around my PC.
Onejoy phone pouch, with insides lined with padded neoprene, arrived from Amazon. Answering phone calls, not troublesome meh to unzip and take out from pouch? Galaxy Buds Live. Why not get a phone holster then? easy access on the belt. With the extra weight og the Fold 2, I dont trust holster. PLUS, I'm not Uncle Roger. Now waiting for the last piece of the puzzle, the VRS Design case, the Hard Drop Active Case. Hopefully it wont void the warranty if something bad happen to the screen. They may use this excuse to reject the claim. I dont trust these corporate T&C, like previously IP67/68 first from Sony and until now is the same. If water damaged, warranty is void even it's IP67/68.

The battery life is quite good, coming from 11 Pro Max I would say very impressive!

I have Aukey PA-Y13 74.5W, doesn't show super fast charging like samsung stock charger, only fast charging.
It has 9V 3A, but doesn't have the 11V on Samsung charger, so probably that's why can't charge at max speed. |

Never had to care or contend with fast charging or slow charging. My Fold 2 stays charged like a desktop PC is, in the Dex Pad, when I need to be outside, the USB-C PD powerbank does the job. I’ve the Anker charger too but that’s permanently on a Nintendo Switch in the game room. Or maybe I can swap that out and let it use its own Nintendo charger. Or maybe I can use the Nintendo Switch official charger as the charger for the Fold 2, it’s USB-C PD, would the Fold gets fast charging from it?
Am glad that I had the Switch earlier, I’ve done my fair share of searching for fast charging for that, that should cover the need for Fold 2 charging as well. For the time my current setup with the Dex Pad kept it charged, despite the charger that comes with the Dex Pad not chasing it turbo-speed while in Dex mode(to prevent overheating, coz Dex already generated plenty of heat multitasking, you don’t wanna compound the issue further with stressing the batteries (and descreasing battery lifespan) with fast charging. I’ll take steady constant charging over fast charging. I dont mind abusing the Switch with fast charging, it’s only 1k to replace. The Fold however is 8k. |

In fact if you check samsung original charger for fold 2, i believed its only 45W (im not border about the rating) and its charging my fold 2 quite fast.If you talking about 65W, you need to get high performance cable to speed up the charging as well which i have baseus 65W with the cable for my MBP |

Can you guys try telling Google assistant to video call someone on Google duo?
Mine can't and it says can't start video call. Weird... Same applies to WhatsApp and voice call using mobile.

Any suggestion for prepaid esim that works with fold 2? Preferable the ones that doesn't use Celcom backbone as their network. After the last outage i want to diversify so that i dont lose connectivity whatsoever.
Also preferably, prepaid sim that doesn't require going to a store to set up. I notice, Yoodo and XOX allows esim setup wholly by their apps, but they use Celcom as their backbone network. |

I've also gotten a one year worth of VPN subscription (purchased by a couple of my less profitable cryptocurrency), coupled with shared account subscription to HBO MAX, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Peacock TV, it has turned my fold into a powerhouse streaming beast! Turn VPN on, run Samsung Dex connected to big screen TV, enjoy latest shows from the States. For shows I cant get I'll torrent with VPN super fast.

 After 16 days using the phone naked, today arrived el cheapo cases. I might use only back case later as when using the front screen, it feels small with that casing borders. Too thick too. Since the internal screen is easier to get greasy and need delicate thing to wipe with, i have to bring this microfiber cloth everywhere. Usually just use wearing shirt to wipe. Last time on Z Flip, had 1 nail scratch, maybe happened when i open it with one hand. This time need to be really careful. |

 Me also just received the cheap cover today. Tried to put on the front cover because I already have the aramid cover on the back. The profile of the frame is so thick and near the edge of the screen, making swipe-in gesture for BACK literally impossible, either from left or right side. Same goes to the edge panel for multitasks. As a result, have to give up using this case that makes life more difficult. Now waiting for another case that was recommended in reddit to ship from China. So hard to find a suitable front cover. Finally got my Samsung black leather case, the leather texture is nice to the touch. The case is good enough for me offering protection at the back of phone with raised camera cut out.

Ok Samsung CS just called me regarding all the warranty available from them.
- 1 year inner screen protection is FREE (Redeemable via Samsung app; if broke still need to pay RM600 as full price is almost 2K) - 1 year extended warranty is RM580 (Certain hardware that need to be repair or replace still need to pay some like screen above) - 1 year back glass replacement is RM95 (Valid for 1 month from phone purchase date to buy this service) Combo RM1645 (Valid for 6 months from phone purchase date to buy this service) - 1 year inner screen protection - 1 year extended warranty - 1 year front and back glass protection - 1 year theft protection Will pin this in 1st post later Worth it? For me not worth at all. As it only valid for 1 year. Im going to use this phone until fully damage |

Not worth it. What is a warranty if it doesn't cover the cost of repairing them? The amount you're paying them for these service, I see it as the charge to repair them. Looking at my usage pattern, I dont need them. Diusclaimer again, this is my own usage case again, before another guy gets angry at what I post. I look at that cost being the cost you'd most likely pay if you send the damaged Fold for repair. Might as well, pay when needed, if there arent any need to pay them, I'm not forking out a single ruble/sen.
The only way I's fork out for extended warranty if Malaysia has Samsung Care + like in Europe or US, where they repair everything (minus inner screen, extra charges for that), no questions asked, no extra charges. These "ala carte" warranty Samsung Malaysia is offering, I might as well pay when needed for repair. Looking at how I baby the phone extra carefully compared to my previous phone, with luck and care, touch wood, hopefully I will not have to worry about the warranties until way later in the life of the Fold ownership. |

Yeah I've been lurking in Reddit GalaxyFold subreddit, saw that case. My contention with other cases is that they're plain, but they're unobtrusive and work without blocking swipes. My case is that I prefer cases with character, not the "me-too"dozens of cases from China that looks the same. I'd rather chuck my Fold 2 into a pouch and keep it that way, than put these generic cases.
I need cases with character, which is why I gravitated towards the VRS cases, they look steampunk-ish, and looked like it could come out from Star Wars or something. If I'm hiding my Fold underneath thick cases, I prefer it to have unique character. That's just me. Don't kill me. Just sad that the VRS case blocks swipe -in, and the most recent defect, this: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyFold/comment...s_case_warning/ , paint chipping from inside section of the case. Which one of you here posted the GKK “AI Autofocus” Fold 2 case in GalaxyFold subreddit?

Why can’t these enterprising mainland Chinese just leave the casing alone with destroying the minimalistic look of the case with that hideous “AI Autofocus” letterings, Without that horrible “AI Autofocus” ugliness letterings on the camera bump covering, I’d be all over it already. And because of that, the search for the perfect Fold 2 case continues. I’m also worries me for the current trend of requiring double-sided tape to keep the case in place. What happened to form-fitting cases that just snaps into place, AND STAYS IN PLACE? Ike all first party Samsung cases so far, but without front cover case section. If the answer is the front cover is too narrow and thin to be form fitting, then I’ll resign to the fact that I’ll be carrying my Fold 2 without front cover case protected, and will only be protected by a pouch. The way I look at it, if your case isn’t form fitting and require double-sided tape to stay in place, it’s a poorly made case. I don’t want to have to deal with adhesives on my beautiful Fold2, so I’d rather not have any of these cases on my Fold 2 whatsoever. |

Why does it sound like I'm beta-testing a case, making it work by having to DIY my way to make the case look presentable? As Uncle Roger would say: "Haaaiiiiiiiyyyaaaaa!" Things like fitting especially, China brands are either too loose or fit so tight they'll scratch the hell out of the phone. And post your DIY work (if any), if you decide to remove that AI Autofocus hideousness. |
