There's an extra AKG USB-C earphones inside. Maybe I did not look at unboxing videos, this pleasant surprise to me. With free Buds Live, two earphones.

Ya wth with samsung CS.
For those who get theirs, please share some photos about the MB card holder.
How it looks like, how many cards it hold and can cash be put in or not. Thinking to go light with my wallet. Currently using full long wallet.

I'll let shokk do that for you. I'm running out of post quota. Still green here.

Going in full steam with this beast. Looking for a Pad to run it as a dedicated PC Samsung Dex PC, Wireless Dex works on the aging Samsung TV , but even the pop up notification says it’s an old TV with not optimal experience. Dex Pad will fix that, Fold lays flat on the pad as trackpad, charges the Fold with additional USB ports for USB peripheral, and built in fcooling for the Fold 2 while running Dex desktop. Plan to get foldable keyboard with trackpad to navigate around Dex desktop, as for games, PS4 controller works fine.

So at home: becomes dedicated Dex PC with wired mouse and keyboard if necessary thanks to the Dex Pad. HDMI to TV. Wireless mouse keyboard for working from sofa. Wireless Dex if really lazy to plug in and just wanna check out mails on larger screen.

Outside: portable G-Story USB-C thin and light monitor powered by USB-C power bank. Foldable keyboard with trackpad.

Or light setup: just use the Fold with the Aramid kickstand case.the screen large enough already. Foldable keyboard with trackpad. PS4 controller for light gaming.

zdorovo!

What do you use it primarily for?

I consume a lot of media and play games and I am kinda worried of pressing too hard.
*
Media consumption and productivity work. If i can work with the screen i do it on the Fold, otherwise i use the portable USB-C monitor. Easier to edit photos using Lightroom on a 15 inch canvas. I can still do spreadsheet or writing walls of text on the Fold itself + foldable keyboard, so it's a mix and match. some days just the fold with portable keyboard + mouse/trackpad , some days with the USB-C monitor. If im at home, theres Dex with Dex Pad Piped to the big screen TV.

Im babying the fold too myself but looking at my usage pattern, I'll be comfotable with using it like normal after 2 weeks. No point keeping it babied if not used proper. Or pair a mouse with it and never press any screen, keeping it new. biggrin.gif

Hmmm how do you write walls of text XD ? Typing or using 3rd party stylus?

Neither, with a Bluetooth-paired foldable keyboard with trackpad.

And with this post I've ran out of posts. Quota finish.

I guess I’m the only one excited for the Dex feature. Just got my portable foldable keyboard with track pad, and even with the unoptimised Wireless Dex with the old Samsung TV I had, the mouse tracking is faster on the paired foldable keyboard with trackpad than running my fingers on the Fold cover screen, smudging it further. Only need the Dex Pad to arrive from Taiwan bought on shopee, already shipped less than 24 hours from the minute I clicked Buy. Only need to keep an HDMI port open in every roomTV I move around, the Dex Pad is as big as Note only and with USB-C power bank I always carry around, that’ll power the Fold snug in the Pad, add in the foldable wireless keyboard, I’m set. Computing everywhere with Samsung Dex, zdorovo!

Still have not unboxed the Buds Live, or the Mont Blanc thing. Too impressed with the Fold and what it could do.

If anybody interested in that Mont Blanc card holder drop me a PM, we can work out an agreeable price. Let'd just say I'm not the target audience for things like this or the fancy Concierge service with meals in fancy settings, so rather than it stays ribbon-tied in its fancy packaging with ribbon tie, better for it to go to a new owner that can appreciate it for what it is. I'm just not that person. If you wanna look it up, it's called "Mont Blanc Urban Racing Spirit Pocket 5cc".

Investigating Wireless Dex on the Fold, I'm obsessed with it. Dragged ethernet cable to the TV, the lag seems gone,so that's an option if I wanna stay wireless while using Dex. Still sticking with the plan on Dex Pad though....

For those looking to ease single hand operations on the fold, you can look for Good Lock app on Galaxy Store. It includes tons of customisation options including app resizing to tame misbehaving apps like Instagram.

Good Lock is restricted iseveral market Galaxy Store. Malaysia not included in that market, so you need to VPN in to access.

I use Windscribe VPN, set it to Dallas, US Central.

Force close and clear all data on Galaxy Store. Restart Galaxy Store with the VPN dialled in to Dallas server, you will see Good Lock.

It finally gives full screen Instagram to me, and one hand operation by moving the cursor right to far left top corner even with you thumb still working on the bottom right corner in single hand operation.

Also changed the colour theme of the notification shade to match the Mystic Bronze, or you can make your own based on your colour theme/ wallpapers you’re using.

Endless customisation from aesthetics to advanced features.

Mont Blanc Urban Racing Spirit Pocket 5cc card holder still available. Still in its fancy ribboned packaging. Hit me up on PM if interested. Also in PM I wouldn’t be hit with the 3 post restrictions, so if you need help in getting Good Lock, we can chat there in PM.

I love this device so far. So versatile. The case is BAD though. Aramid sucks

I am selling the Mont Blanc Urban Racing Spirit Pocket 5cc card holder as well.. I need to earn some money back.

Aramid caase to me it's functional. The fact that I can prop the Fold up with the kickstand without another stand is worth it enough for me. Until my case of choice (still on preorder phase, not shipping) is shipping, even that also I'm not pre-ordering because I'm wary of any case with front cover screen protection, since a lot of off-screen gestures from the side will be blocked by cases covering the front on the side. I'm gonna let others get it first and review it first before I even consider getting. The Aramid allows me to not to be overly cautious with handling the Fold, like when it's naked. That will help in gaining confidence when Im used to the Fold's weight with single hand handling. Doing lots of finger gymnastics and with the case on, I'm slowly but surely getting used to handling it even unfolded, with the added confidence of knowing the case is there at the back when I overly grip the Fold tightly. biggrin.gif

So I'm in no hurry to get the perfect case, as long as there's a case to protect the Fold. Will wait for others to be the beta testers for all new cases coming out with review, I'm not gonna risk damaging my 8k phone just to be the first. I'm not gonna risk getting dubious protection from unknown casemaker brands either , its an 8k phone, the least you can do is get a case that's made by the manufacturer of the phone itself. Just my 2 Russian kopeks/2 sen opinion. smile.gif

Someone wanna take a look at the VRS Design case for Fold 2? I’m eyeing this intensely but I need confirmation that the front case doesn’t click edge swipes. If it does then I’m in.

https://vrsdesign.com/collections/galaxy-z-fold-2-case

Love the futuristic design. Making the Fold look like a device that comes from the future.

I just noticed my front screen protector is coming off. Omg....
*

Mine is bubbling on the side. Exactly at the side where the edge panel is swiped in. After this happened I used Good Loxk to “swipe from anywhere on the side, not that particular side spot only, but I know sooner or later I’ll have to peel off that screen protector on the front cover screen.

What luck, kak povezlo!! If you have the official Nintendo Switch Charging Stand (this one https://store.nintendo.com/adjustable-charg...ndo-switch.html)with variable angle, it fits the Fold 2, on portrait mode folded! With the Aramid case its even a nice snug fit. The best part is that this stand charges your Fold 2 with that USB-C port angled outward on the side, just plug in your charger or power bank there, even when the Fold is standing tall in portrait mode.

I also use an old Wii U Game Pad Stand ( this one https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/ima...SL._SL1000_.jpg), not the charging cradle, just the stand for the Game Pad. Fits the Fold 2 in portrait mode folded, or enfolded!

Moral of the story, never throw away old stuff they may come in handy. laugh.gif

I also have a tablet stand that folds smaller but that I use for the Switch. It fits and works too as a stand for Fold 2 ( this one https://shopee.com.my/Foldable-Swivel-Phone...8925.2250107690).

Or use the Aramid Case as intended. tongue.gif But the accidental discovery that the small official Nintendo Switch Charging Stand works with Fold 2 with that 90 degrees angled outward USB-C port allowing charging even the Fold is in portrait mode standing tall, is a pleasant surprise.

I've already stopped babying my Fold 2. New case from VRS Design shipping out on 7th Oct. Got a waterproof, padded neoprene on the inside pouch from Amazon from Onejoy.

Even installed Youtube Vanced from vanced.app . Started customizing wallpapers, static or live video from WallPix, got a promo code for Pro edition of WallPixfor free. I wanted so badly to buy and install Civilization VI, that game will be glorious slavnyy on the large unfolded screen of the Fold 2,...... but device not supported. There are other ways of getting CivVI on the Fold , thinking if I should do so.....

Is it me or is the screen actually cut off at the left right edge ?

The pricr you have to pay to play fullscreen. Had to use GoodLock to enable fullscreen. I can play around with other aspect ratio, but you have to tolerate letterboxing . Until Aspyr officially support Fold 2 as one of the supported device as per this list (https://support.aspyr.com/hc/en-us/articles...pported-Devices) , you'll have to play around with GoodLock to get fullscreen with that cut off area. If anyone can get better result, please share your settings.

I called in about the screen replacement and they said its because the screen costs more than RM2K to replace, so that RM650 is a reduced rate. Definitely not a free one-off replacement. Probably coz in the case of the first Fold the case incident was free as it was much more critical than Fold 2.

I've also checked if an extended warranty would help. You can get extended warranty from Samsung Service Center, from SES or purchased separately from Solead, who carry out these warranty repair, from here (https://www.solead.store/collections/hhp-protection-plan), although the Fold 2 is so new, it's not yet listed there. To be safe head to your SES. After reviewing what's covered by these warranty and current one year warranty we have on our Fold 2s, I deduced that it's not worth getting extended warranty, because most the covered under warranty free-no-charge when replaced are perishables parts like buttons and stuff like that. Anything more you'll have to fork out money. Really poor warranty coverage, you better take care of your Fold 2s. I've no problem with taking care of my stuff, I've had my old phone taken care (with no screen protector and only a slim case, it's been nearly 4 years and it looks new, no scuff, no scratches. I guess it depends on the person. If you're working construction site, just use a Nokia. not Fold, unless you want to constantly worry about your phone. laugh.gif

I managed to fix Civilization VI , now running perfectly in full screen, just had to enable "run app in tablet mode to see more" in "Display" Settings. The reason it was visuals were cut off in previous attempt is due to Civ VI while rotated to landscape to full screen, it was trying to avoid the punchhole camera area, so it cut off a section if the Civ VI resolution running in full screen. Not anymore! biggrin.gif

He even gave a brief overview of all the features of the must-have app for your Fold, Good Lock.

Fold 2 linked to Windows desktop wirelessly using the Your Phone app on Win10 and Link to Windows settings on the Fold. Less need to swipe up and tap screens when I'm around my PC.

Onejoy phone pouch, with insides lined with padded neoprene, arrived from Amazon. I'm sure I could get this locally but I've some gift cards lying around unused, just enough for the pouch plus shipping here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CZLJL7...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

Waterproof, and if you're worried about those YKK zippers catching and scratching your precious Fold, the zipper zips open right until the bottom of the pouch, pouch opens wide for Fold to enter without worry of zipper. Comes with carabiner attachment at the back. Reason for getting this? I dont trust my pockets. Pocket lint and sands. With this, I can chuck it into my carry-across-the-chest-bag. Answering phone calls, not troublesome meh to unzip and take out from pouch? Galaxy Buds Live. wink.gif

Why not get a phone holster then? easy access on the belt. With the extra weight og the Fold 2, I dont trust holster. PLUS, I'm not Uncle Roger. laugh.gif

Now waiting for the last piece of the puzzle, the VRS Design case, the Hard Drop Active Case. They're having a BOGO (Buy One Get One free) case sale on all iPhone and Samsung cases! Too bad Fold 2 cases isn't BOGO.

Dex Pad received.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So that’s my take on the Dex Pad. You could go the cheaper route with generic USB-C hubs , I’d like to hear your experiences if you do, if it works I’ll get one of those for the other rooms in the house. Until then, I choose to trust manufacturer made accessories.
