PSA: Thief can use your BTU if had access to fiber in the same area (same cabinet)

You can't. You have to get it from TM. BTU is lifetime warranty, so just contact TM and get it from them.

Better to get it from TM directly. You will need to do some configuration for it to work.

Dang, stealing useless device. Must fork out some money and pay TM. If manage to secure a BTU elsewhere, still have to configure it and this configuration need to be done on TM site as well. Not easy. Unless you know someone inside TM.

You need to make sure the BTU type is the same company as the stolen one
Previous BTU can only be used by the same company as it is locked that type.
I think there are 3 company, fiberhome, alcatellucent/nokia and huawei.
The new BTU is universal, means can be used on all 3 company
But the older BTU is company spesific

Then call tm to reconfigure, rm53 only

I think better get from TM. Still need configuration from them..
Maybe bring along copy of police report to TM.. just in case..

Can some sifu answer my question? My house's back yard has done the cabling works yesterday.



How long will it take to offer Unifi service? I have signed the waiting list last 2 months, do I need to go to TM for Unifi application again?

The problem solved itself after i asked them to reset the port which does nothing and lodge a report and keep spam unifi fb. Still getting dc and advert. Then after 2 days, no more problem. Then technician came and i told him the problem, dont come in my house as the problem is not from my side and dont charge me rm 53. Then no more dc and advert problem. TM called me the next day and asked how is the problem. I said it is their side problem spamming advert and make ppl dc every 3 hours.

get your police report and report this incident to tm and request a replacement.
normally it does not cost anything to get replacement if a criminal incident like this happened and your equipment is lost
