Alao ur mean you put 1111/1001 and 8888/8844 in modem setting?Mr.7 kokill hi bro any update with this: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=94397125 https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=94397681 https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=94397706 I have report to TM, they reset the port but still same, changed both modem DNS and LAN DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 also same, every 3 hours interrupted and prompt to redirect to the TM unifi promo page, so annoying! Also, check ur dhcp server setting in modem, if got dns server, leave it blank. This post has been edited by wanttobuylaptop: Nov 9 2019, 03:29 PM |

QUOTE(EdenHazard17 @ Nov 9 2019, 03:54 PM) Hi all, I'm currently using Unifi 300mbps plan. Supposed upload speed is 50mbps. But when connected to my PS4 using LAN, the upload speed can't go up more than 10 mbps. Averagely at 6-8mbps only. because u wearing wrong jersey Is this due to the router or port too full at my area? I'm staying in Kulim. The router i used is the one given by Unifi, DL-Link DIR 842 AC1200. can check at fast.com or speedtest for the upload speed see the upload speed? i am getting full upload speed 50mbps |

QUOTE(afiqms @ Nov 13 2019, 03:30 PM) Just got my home Unifi'd with 300 Mbps in Sura Hujung, Dungun, Terengganu. TM now is very aggressive in deploying Unifi around Dungun town area. BTU is from Huawei. But I got the old TP Link router, anyway to request to change to the latest DLink MU-MIMO router? Iinm, that dlink from tm doesnt support mu-mimo even its spec so. However, non tm issue one does support.] |

QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Nov 15 2019, 08:13 PM) u do 4k streaming?or do streaming yourself? or always download very big files >10gb per file? or a lot of people in your house sharing the internet? generally speaking, 100 mbps is suffice if none of the above applied to you. |

QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Nov 16 2019, 08:49 AM) What sources are you downloading from? Can the source allow you to download @ more than 30mb/s? If so, then 300mbps is good.Me download from steam 10 gb only a few mins.. It's been satisfying experience. I can uninstall a lot of my games and only install when I want to play it. |

received my 1111 asus ac86u from taobao yesterday
finish setup and OMG, its so good. wifi @ 5ghz is getting me full speed of 300 mbps going thru 1.5 wall from living room to my bedroom. but cant get unifi tv box to work with hypp tv, dunno if i somehow messed up my white unifi tv box. vlan is configured @ 600 already for port 4. flashed merlin today and gonna tried it out again later at night. whats good channel for 5ghz? i just have to test each and every channel for speed and ping test to figure out? and how to get more channel on 5ghz? i only get unii1 and 3 channel, only 8 of them. which region allow all channel selection? QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Nov 21 2019, 04:49 PM) Yours is China unit, so it will be a bit limited. Keep in mind that if there are any issues, you have to send your unit back to China as Asus Malaysia don’t support China unit. There is no good 5Ghz channel per se, you have to test for yourself. even china unit, since asus use one firmware for all the region, just change the region in the firmware and will get to use the channel as per region configure. by default china region has only 4 channel for 5ghz. and yes, warranty is claimable only at China, not malaysia or singapore. for me is not a problem. |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 22 2019, 11:40 AM) Changing region will just enable some channels. For that is true, but china follow ETSI standard in transmit power. Wouldn't disable the transmit power limitation set by China regulators. So the TX power limit is standard for most of the router sold by Asus. only disclaimer asus showed is US FCC and Canada. that being said, if ah, asus did tweak the router according to malaysia regulation, then it is super good for some frequencies for 2.4 ghz, malaysia maximum mW is 500, 5x then ETSI standard for 5 GHz channel 36 to 64, our maximum mW is 1000, thats 5x higher than ETSI for the rest of 5ghz frequency then ETSI is better, 1000mW is as high as it goes in malaysia vs ETSI – 5 GHz channel 100 to 140: 1000 mW – 5 GHz channel 155 to 171: 4000 mW This post has been edited by wanttobuylaptop: Nov 22 2019, 06:32 PM |

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Dec 11 2019, 02:08 PM) i am using ac86u router... if u are consistently getting 300mbps, check ur router setting see if advance qos is activefirst time tested with iphone 7 plus can achieve 460Mbps...then later can’t anymore no need...but just curious if iphone 11 pro max has dual MiMO (not sure if i write this correctly) which router are you using ? edit: i can only achieve 300Mbps max on iphone 11 pro max, does that mean i need to call tm to come and check ? or u are connecting to a guest network with speed limit? |

QUOTE(danjan92 @ Dec 29 2019, 10:57 PM) Hi, anybody here using rt-ax56u asus router??? How's the performance with unifi, I think it's quite cheap for ax router. I think I want to grab onelah if 5 series experience is anything to go by, its okayhttps://s.lazada.com.my/s.ZDeSC ![]() wifi connection is good but coverage isnt the best stable speed also definitely a good day to day router for everything but do not expect top level performance for specific task, like gaming best thing is this is compatible with airmesh, previous router isnt so it is good even after you upgrade, it can still act as a mesh node. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jan 7 2020, 09:07 PM) I dunno man. Now, and for the next 19 months, I worried somebody will have 1Gbps at lower than RM159. not likely. TM still dominate the fiber war and even player like time is offering cheaper price, coverage still limited.and TM is undergoing BLEEDING due to 5g race started. Their strategy to getting more coverage for fiber in old and new residential where TIME and others cannot come in, and user can only sign up with them, or SIGH up with them lol. plus, gomen know if continue to grill tm they eventually will cost gomen money also. guess who is the major shareholder of Tm? honeymoon of new gomen is long over. |
