To be honest i prefer UNIFI, but I want the 300mpbs package with a better deal, the current price is 199 excluding tax. Is there an agent or third party dealers that can give me a better price for the same package? My parents home now is paying 190 for 800mbps which is why the current deal does not look appealing to me.

All the above lol, streaming 4k content is also my main priority so 100mbps package will not do it for me.

Minimum 4K streaming is 25 Mbps D/L as Netflix recommends. But of course, we need to take into account total/average bandwidth usage for the whole household.

Still, if only our national fiber backbone is managed by TIME…

you are quite right about the pricing.

unifi, new with black box plus: 300mbps rm199; 100mbps rm189; 30mbps rm149
https://unifi.com.my/plusbox?gclid=Cj0KCQiA...BUaAuwpEALw_wcB

maxis: 300mbps rm149; 100mbps; rm129; 30mbps rm89
https://www.maxis.com.my/broadband/maxisone...cB&gclsrc=aw.ds

you wonder what has got into unifi's heads to price them so high - the pricing is totally out of whack!
and these prices are ridiculous given many are currently paying <rm179 for 800mbps, <rm159 for 500mbps.
that new black box is likely worth <rm30 if buying wholesale.
perhaps after losing rm4bil last year, they just wanna make up for it this year...?!!

rm199 for 300mbps... i think few takers.
will see if they lower the prices by mid year.

Hi guys, currently using zte single box provided by unifi, but recently keep refusing to connect and disconnect especially when a lot of devices connected.

So I wanted to replace it with a better router, can those "WiFi Modem Router" directly replace the zte single box without the need to get model + router? because I do not have a modem now.
*
Yes, it can. I would recommend that you change it to something better.

Which is why I'm more opted to Maxis, but some folks have bad experience with their maxis connection which s why I wanna gather more information on it before deciding.

I need some advise from the all the sifus here.
I was at the TM point earlier to check the availability of internet on my new housing area, they said it the ports will be ready in March.
I can either apply thru UNIFI directly or thru Maxis Fibre plan for it, but base on the packages from both telco I feel the 300mbps from Maxis Fibre suit my needs more and the price is way cheaper than UNIFI.

So my main question for now, has MAXIS Fibre service improve compared to the years before? Are their internet connection as reliable as UNIFI? I know both ride on the same fibre line by TM but I just want to hear opinions before i make my decision

Thanks!
*
don't not take Maxis Fibre its very bad and connection poor and sometime speed unstable you may check facebook a lot complaint
and here complaint link https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4890532
he using maxis but no internet have wait till 30 JAN 2020 look slow settle and delay delay
i will not take Maxis Fibre so i will stay UNIFI almost stable and smooth i getting full speed for LAN Cable PC Desktop

Even though I still can't download the latest 16Jan bill but billed at rm64.80, previous bill was - 71.95. So the yep campaign really saves me 2.5months fees of rm136.75/month.

My bill for Jan is charged correctly RM139+6%. Already been discussed previously, the new charges are exactly matched using increased discount value. Previously was being 'charged' RM179 with discount of RM70, now getting charged RM199 with discount of RM90.

And promo discount now shows 'perpetual' instead of 24 months, so no complaints taking the Pay Nothing. Well done to those who avoided it rolleyes.gif

i am using Maxis fibre ridding on unifi infra 30Mb package, so far ok for me, i think is the known issue the original router will hang sometimes and restart the router to resolve it ... so not sure 300Mb package ...

the only good thing to have Maxis fibre + Maxis one plan = Maxis 4G unlimited data...

heh! heh! not full speed unlimited data. Once you hit 300GB, according to their Fair Usage Policy, your 4G speed will be slowed down.

Was checking some mobile plans last year with celcom, digi and maxis. All plans that I checked that have data quota like 50GB etc has unlimited internet access. It is just not full speed unlimited access!! So in a way almost all plans are now unlimited data!!
