Yes, just remove saved information in IBKR and relink again. It will only let you use the new US account details.

I just submitted.

But thing is, it does not ask me for
1. A Photo ID To verify
2. Document to Verify

So, i wonder if i was missing something...
Yes IBKR does not ask for these. And they normally approve new account opening within 2 hours not 1-3 days.

IBRK took few days to approve my account. so much so that i got desperate and tried to link direct debit to my wise. (direct debit won't work bcos IBRK will take U$x.xx from my wise, and require me to state how much was taken to prove i own the US acct. of which wise will take days to reflect in account)

approval came few days later and i could finally ACH

Previously I linked Wise to IBKR but then didn't proceed with transfer because had to convert into USD in Wise b4 money could go to IBKR (wanted to convert in IBKR due to better rates).
Sorry not familiar with ACH. Are you saying with ACH, you are still using Wise but can convert USD in IBKR OR you are just using another bank account to transfer to IBKR

you can only convert SGD inside IBRK, not RM. for RM, if you want to deposit into IBRK from wise, you can
  1. convert in Wise to USD, then from Wise, ACH to IBRK for a fee of U$0.39. or,
  2. link wise<->IBKR, then from IBKR, request a transfer from wise (direct, but more expensive than item 1 even if ignore the 39 cents surcharge)
if your IBKR account is created but not approved, IBKR won't give you any bank details to do ACH transfer (via wise, or any other US banks)

Thanks. For me, I just transfer SGD to IBKR from a Singapore bk and convert in IBKR to USD. Wise is not good for conversion of RM to USD from my experience.

Ya. This is what I did. Exchange SGD with my friend. Pass him RM, he bank in SGD to my CIMB sg account.

I used wise. It's in built into the system.

Yep this is the best time to enter s&p 500 voo but not in the middle of the war and US stocks burning hot.

BTW let's not go out of topic, is there an s&p or ikbr thread here? And hi bro it's been awhile we crossed paths

Nah for you. Wise is not the cheapest route if you are doing large amount and doing it for long time. Also US stuff got 30% dividend tax yo. Keep in mind. To avoid 30% dividend tax by Ireland based etf. It will cut your dividend tax to 15%

Which one did you invest in? I'm thinking of parking my son's savings under voo.

you can pick VUSA instead of VOO... save 15% on dividend tax. to save on transaction fees, use the "recurring investment" feature in IBKR to buy

I said many times in many places. If you want highest return, go with QQQ. Their return have always been more than S&P500 butord volatile. If you cannot stand volatility, then stick with S&P500. Ireland version of QQQ
https://www.reddit.com/r/singaporefi/commen...lent/?rdt=63973

US etf if you want to do options.
Ireland version if you don't want options and save 15% on dividend tax.
CSPX (non fractional shares) or VUAA (lower price and support fractional shares)

Once you get 100 shares in US, you can easily do options to get back your 30% tax and more. Not everyone wants to do options.
