hmm if like then how about the Creative T-Series speaker?

is that nice even the speaker comes with small size and also durable? because it looks like cannot tahan more than 1-2 years X_X

also a slightly off-topic, because I want to uses the speaker with the Creative 5.1 Xifi Surround USB Sound Card so does the quality drops while using a 2.1 speakers?
*
Creative T-Series has T20 (2.0), T40 (2.0) and T3 (2.1). I would go for T3 if I can wait and afford it (or go down to S'pore and get it). Because T20 and T40 are both 2.0; their advantage is space saving, but do you need that? How much space do you have on your table and how much space your speakers sound have to cover/how big is your room?

Does big size equates to durability? I believe quality components, regardless of size, equates to durability.

On external sound cards, sorry, can't help you there.

My budget RM400-600. Any music

Easy. Your budget gives you a variety of good choices. Bring along your mp3 player and go test those RM400 above and let your own ears decide. At RM400 baseline, you have Klipsch Promedia 2.1 for bass & S330 for balanced sound. Those two should provide you with the sound stardard to compare your other choices.

not 110W its 110v voltage...not W for Watts. In USA the voltage rating is different than in Malaysia, u must make sure that the speaker support 240V if not..the moment u power it on, the circuit might blow...

Hi there.

I need recommendations for a 2.1 system under RM300.

I listen to music (primary), watch films and do light gaming. I intend to plug my system to my laptop, which will be my desktop replacement.

Thanks in advance.

not all are experts and fast reply because they want to help... take me for example, im not an expert and i spam a lot, babbling about speakers which i've never heard of. and replying fast just to increase post count. moral is, dont take our words 100%, we all have different ears so take ur time to find ur best audio equipment that suits ur budget! wink.gif

Well, I hope the Edifier shop at Lowyat Plaza Level 3 has both M3300 and M3400 for you to test. I'm pretty sure they have both. I know I saw both M3300 and M3400 in Sri Computers but it is probably not easy to test the sound, given the amount of speakers being on at the same time.

erm how about symphony musics? will 2.0 speaker works more great than 5.1?
*
I always listen to music using 5.1 speakers. I like the ambience when the music played with rich matrix sound, which you could feel all instrument playing around you. Just ensure you have a decent surround processor to do this. Don't depend much on speakers internal amp. Since my surround processor doesn't have ProLogic 2, so surround sound played is 4.1

And my advice, if you using mp3 music source and using 5.1 speakers, ensure you connect it via digital. Using normal stereo jack will make ur music sound suck.

Just my 2 cents.

5.1 speakers needs 6 inputs which is Front Left,Center, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right plus a connection to subwoofer.

I think you need to get new 5.1 soundcard.
