ya,same here,i'm new to audio world and currently i have rm400 budget for a 2.1 speaker.
any nice recommendation?
i'm looking for Edifier C3,Klipsch GMX,and Altec MX5021

rm400 for a 2.1 usually people recommend the edifier s330, rm390-400 at lowyat.
but if u wanna shake ur neighbours house, get the klipch promedia gmx 2.1!

I recommend for computer sound system that is affordable, both less than RM200. Sonic Gear Armageddon and Logitech X-240 (2.1 channel)

currently at australia n didn't bring my AL VS4121 speaker here..
so i plan to buy another at here n saw logitech X-530(or sth like tht) which is 5.1 speaker
price around AUD$103 so if malaysia will be around RM250
just wanna know is this logitech speaker nicer than my previous VS4121?n the price reasonable?

now i got problem after 2years of using it T_T

suddenly there is no sound..
got sound.. but it will turn to mute by itself after few minutes..

what is really happent o my gmx 2.1 ?

i had a x-530 a few years ago..its definately better than vs4121, vocals are much more clearer and precise. bass is much more controlled and not so boomy too.

best is if u go test it 1st ... my 1st impression was clarity...the high frequency range, which make the vocal clear, bass is not as "oomph" as 4121 but i feel that it still sounds better. with 4121 i can only concentrate on the bass when listen, with x530 can concentrate on the overall music and instrument ; ) i was using audigy 2 platinum without any effects or EQ. and my room is quite alot of soft and wood furniture which absorb the high frequency and resonate the bass.

Call Edifier showroom @ Low Yat Plzaz 03 21452745 to ask if they have s2.1. If they still have, then all you need to do is just go there and test both the speakers out.

Best speakers/music is subjective. It's still best to use your own ears.

Yea, agree with you. If they don't hv it in the showroom. You can try looking at Hyper IT as well, think i saw they hv it there

what's the different between s330D and s330 ?

IMHO, go for s330 if you are more into music, go for mx5021 if you are more into gaming or movie.

in addition, if you are a 'basshead', never choose s330 without testing, you may lost your patience with it's subwoofer, err if you used to own an A.L. speaker, etc: vs4121, you might find that s330's is not working well

if you are more into music then you should consider Edifier, but rm300 it's a bit crucial for you, either m3300 for rm230+- or s330 for rm400..

logitech z4 suits your budget nicely but i don't think it will perform well at music as Edifier does, z4 is more on bass IMHO.

S330D is digital version - support optical and coaxial input
S330 is analog version

after test S330 and Klipsch promedia gmx 2.1

finally i bought the Klipsch

i like the klipsch so much

the kilpch woofer is soooo deep
