QUOTE(littlegamer @ Aug 5 2021, 12:19 PM) Got to agree to this. Gotta agree with thisInitially I started SA for this reason. Myr is dropping by the year. International etf pegged to usd at least another safety net. Unless myr decided to appreciate (judging by Malaysian politic turmoil, is highly unlikely) In fact alll the losses is in usd, but myr remain no loss to due to its depreciation. That said, still need to be careful of what SA allocation. Especially for Kweb. YES, everyone says buy the dip, kweb almost 50%, still don't go all in, allocate some to other platform or etf. Wahed as of now is on the bull due to 97% US only exposure. SA 36% will need more time as their allocation is much more diversify. |

hi, I am new to StashAway and this is my first time using robo-advisors. i have some questions about StashAway and many thanks for the assistance provided,
1) At the withdrawal settings, i notice there are two selections for Maybank, (a)Maybank and (b) Maybank Islamic, is there any difference if i select either one as both are the same mother company? and does it affect the process of my withdrawals? 2) Do i get charged for the Currency conversion fee 0.1% spot rate when i transfer from local bank to StashAway Simple? and vice versa? 3) When i transfer from StasAway Simple to my StashAway General Investment Portfolio, do i get charged again for the Currency conversion fee 0.1% spot rate ? Thank you. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 5 2021, 09:21 AM) It has nothing to do with that. ASNB is not diversified enough. They're still almost entirely invested in local markets. Even EPF has higher returns thanks to its greater diversification. The past decade has been a bull market for the US but ASNB hasn't gained anything from it because of their fixation on Malaysia. Still better than parking your money in FDs though |

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Aug 6 2021, 12:04 AM) depends on the value of this lump sum.....i mean in % terms in relation to your net worth.... if your net worth is RM500k and if you were to lumpsum 5k into SA... it is just 1% of your net worth, so i don't see any issue from my POV.... |

QUOTE(jacksonpang @ Jun 26 2021, 12:02 PM) I re-read what Dr Jason written in fb and i think this promo code is for waiver for your next fresh fund, not existing fund. We might have wrong understanding XD "Use the promo code DRJASON when you inject new funds into StashAway and you get 3 months of management fees waived off :-D" https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid...100044201511171 QUOTE(honsiong @ Jun 26 2021, 01:55 PM) QUOTE(jacksonpang @ Jun 26 2021, 02:58 PM) Offer showing "100% management fee for 3 months" While hidden clause is "only for fresh fund" Just like typical offer/sales advertisement you can found on the market you know? Something like "buy smartphone from us, BUY 1 FREE 1", while actually is buy 1 phone free 1 phone case, not free another phone. 😅 QUOTE(jacksonpang @ Jun 26 2021, 03:18 PM) Not sure why you so easily triggered. That's exactly why we need to look for the T&C before doing something, which I did, look for Dr Jason fb post and found its more specific T&C, and shared back here. So, what you did? Applied promo code given by others w/o further checking T&C then said other people defended scam? Nice mindset bro. QUOTE(Michaelbyz23 @ Jun 26 2021, 04:24 PM) Does it mean anything we put in AFTER we input promo code DRJASON, is entitled for fee waiver for next 3 months? QUOTE(DragonReine @ Jun 27 2021, 12:42 PM) https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fb...100044201511171 "new funds" aka fresh funds for most banking/investment promos what I said is what fresh funds mean, like banks offering special FD rates, if they say "fresh funds" usually their T&C means "money not held within the bank", or in investment promos means "money you haven't invested yet' but the way it's said it's very confusing 😂 so dunno if it means "inject new funds and ALL current investment is fee free" or "inject new funds and new funds will be fee free", so I could be wrong. QUOTE(honsiong @ Jun 27 2021, 01:17 PM) And the stashaway website just say "DRJASON - 100% management fees for 3 months". Were they using the same copy for CNY fresh funds campaigns? Check your statements. 100% of management fees in my portfolio consisting of old and new funds in July were waived. Short promotional Facebook posts aren't T&C. blackchides and honsiong liked this post

So stashaway changed the logic after realising their typo mistake? They didn't need to do that!! Short promotional Facebook posts aren't T&C.
