not sure how many % of your war chest are sitting in reserves "waiting" for that thing to come against your "exposed" money in the Eq mkts.
just my take,...
if I have only 10% sitting in the war chest but 90% "exposed", I would not call myself in the "waiting" position.
if I have 90% in the war chest but just 10% "exposed", I would not call myself in the "waiting" position but "had been waiting" position.

depends on how you see it...
it could be preventing it from more rapid losses.
it could also be reorganise your asset to fight on another "rally" days

to me, if you stay invested in the markets, be it moving to less riskier level, you will still have a chance to recover your losses.....

If you are doing that... Good for you...
But some forummers would not agree with that at this period in time... For they may prefer to sailang now as it is low n some would just go for fi assets....
No right or wrong, just individual, s preference.

"most" of the time historically.... When in volatile time, FI goes up.
When interest rate goes down FI goes up too

In SAMY.... Just select the lowest risk level n let SAMY do the selection for you,

mind sharing?......

1) are they of almost similar risk level selection or are having almost similar FI:EQ ratio?
if answer to Q1 is "NO"...stop addition below question, BUT if "YES", please proceed to continue at Q2

2) Any addition top up was done?
if answer to Q2 is "NO"...stop addition below question, BUT if "YES", please proceed to continue at Q3

3) are top up done to both of them that are of the same value and at the same date?
if answer to Q3 is "YES"....stop addition below questions, BUT if "NO", please proceed to continue from Q4

Q4 (answer just 1 of them)
4a) do you do any top up to just 1 of them only?
4b) or top up both of them but on different date?
4c) or top up both of them at the same date but at a huge amount variance in ratio?

mind sharing?
what is "the exact date" that you entered both the platform?
(this would be useful for non believers of your postings to email to the respective platforms for "investment since then result" confirmation purposes if needed."

thus even Wahed should not be spared to a 27% variance right?
slight different I believe is "YES" it is possible, but if it is to be at a 27% variance.....then could it be this?

is there any variance in the risk level selection or FI:EQ ratio selection variance of your portfolio between SA and Wahed?

pls ensure that the money for investment are money that you will not need to touch for some 3~5 yrs and you had emergency fund of at least 6 months compiled....

maybe it will continue to drop for some time,
maybe it will stay stagnant for some time,
maybe it will recover,
anyway, this is not the first time it happened nor will it be the last time it will happens.....
