Forex thingy this guy is doing, is pretty entertaining. LMAO. Such a meagre gain for something you dont have much control on since there is lag time to buy and sell and inconsistency in term of speed.

For a fast in and out, just directly invest in the stock market or to a certain degree unit trust( i have been doing this using epf and taking advantage of 0% SC)

Ok, thanks. Won't happen if they use 3 decimal then

Financial calculations are using 4 decimal points while markets depending on which type of investments some are using 8 decimal points

Only legal tender value are rounded 2 decimals based on currency tender value

I think easier to just buy / sell CURRENCY directly via likes of Interactive Brokers. At least its instantaneous and you're not dependant on underlying asset (ETF) price laugh.gif

I invested 8 months ago , deposited a total of 3 times only.
Currently I calculate it’s about 15% return per annum
So was just wondering ..

It depends on you whether you need the money but if you need the money just take out max of RM300 from your profit and sometimes you will by lucky when they execute sell the order you might gain a few dollars extra

I usually take profit when the USD is weaker just only about 30% maximum from the profit pool for extra spending money rclxms.gif

It depends on the market scenario but in most scenario when USD, EUR strengthening tell tale signs more RM when selling against those currencies

Like now RM is stronger because USD is weaker, oil price is govering around usd54 per barrel and no rate cut

Sometimes both currency can be stronger with each other just like now with RM versus SGD

Anyone know what kind of protection we have as investors in stashaway? In case if stashaway failed or any of it's intermediaries committed fraud?

Will we be insured by SC or something...

No insurance by anybody.

Your holdings are with trustee.

If anything happened, your holding is still safe with the trustee.

SA holdings are with trustee
and if SA failed, based on the previous robo ai from SG (forgotten the name)
SA can/might find other companies to absorb SA customer
if SA failed to do so
SA customer holdings will be forced to liquidise(loss or profit) and money given back to SA customer

a few forumers have already explain where your money goes to.

SC is not an insurance company, nor they will protect or guarantee your investment.

they are the regulator in the country, which approved the operation of stashaway in the country.

Stashaway is legit and your funds are very safe, but still there are people out there say SAMY is not safe, etc, bla bla bla....

I am perplexed by how SA calculates gains.

Now, whenever I invest, about 50% of the invested funds move to gains after the transaction is done.

Really?

Probably the ETF was bought during the market opening. and throughout the day the ETF appreciates in value so when your app updates you actually gain a bit?

That's why I guess?
