It's a reset of contract, starts from zero again, its not adding 24 months on top of your existing contract.

Whoops, I think you're not eligible.
As you're using Wireless AC Router.
TIME is giving free to customers that are using single band routers

Check your Self Care, if no free router means that you're not eligible.
You can buy your own router.
I won't recommend you to buy the C1200 as this model has a lot of problems but more stable than DIR-850l
And also this C1200 got similar specs with D-Link DIR-850l except the Wi-Fi range and stability better as compared with DIR-850l.

Thanks.

hi guys

im trying to upgrade my DIR-882 firmware. but i always get the error saying firmware is corrupted.

i also noticed my firmware version is 3.5.8TT which is totally different than the naming scheme Dlink uses like FW101.B2

does this mean this is time's own firmware revision?

Hi. You bought DIR-882 from TIME?

My advice to you is not to update the firmware as this router uses TIME modified firmware.

Thanks.

Hi. The TIME stock router uses own modified firmware.

Didn't hear that this router can set to 160MHz.

Maximum is 80MHz?

Thanks.

Hi guys. New to TIME internet. My router LOS started blinking and PON stopped blinking all of the sudden. Tried reset everything and nothing works.

Called customer service and was told its the optic issue here either in my unit or building. This isnt the first time. The first time was faulty fiber cable in building or something.

Texted my new neighbour that is also using TIME but his are doing fine.

What can i do to do some self diagnose now? In hope to fix it now. Its sunday night man...

Appreciate any advice.. Thanks all

Hi,

If your LOS indicator is blinking in red, it means your fibre reading is out of its operating range/loss of signal...this is usually caused by faulty cable, faulty fibre connector, faulty splitter, cable damage etc...
Sorry to say that there isnt much you can do except trying to unseat the fibre connector and gently insert it back....hoping it was caused by connector loose issue... else you have to wait for SI to come over to rectify tomorrow.

Thanks.

Hi, you cant update the firmware with the one from the official site.

If there is any new firmware release, we will keep you notified.

from D-link's site, it's quoted to be able to run at 160mhz but with a firmware upgrade

i see, thanks for the info.

thing is supposedly my phone supports 2x2 MIMO which puts its theoretical speed at 866mbps, but during speed tests I could only get 340mbps. however with wifi direct from one phone to another, the speed can hit up to 500mbps. any advise for this difference?

Sigh thank you very much. I am guessing the yellow optic cable. Where can it be purchased? I stay nearby a mall. Kinda need the internet by tonight. I also rolled it up recently and tied with cable tie. Didnt have any issue until just now so i am guessing it isnt caused by that?

Hi, try release the cable, dont bend it sharply... normal computer shop dont sell this...you need a networking shop ...is this patch cord given by SI during installation ? If so, jus make a report to TIME CS, SI will come to check and if it's faulty, they will replace for you.

We do have many fiber patch cords, if later you really wanna buy, jus buzz me.

Thanks.

It seems like the firmware applies to Non-TIME D-Link DIR-882.

Do wait for the firmware upgrade as bro jjj2 mentioned.

Thanks.

Yes, but you need a good router and be connected to 5GHz AC on 80MHz. I am using C3150 v2 and getting 250-300Mbps speed consistently two rooms away from the router, which is close to my max turbo speed of 300Mbps.

I can get 600mbps with Asus pce 68. But not my t4u. I am benchmarking via fast.com or speedtest.

May I know how are you getting 300mbps? I believe that from tplink GUI is not the actual throughput. Pls try it via fast.com test

Fast.com test, I am getting 200Mbps to 250Mbps on average. Is yours the V3 version?
