Guys, how come my internet speed no difference? It's still the same as 100mbps even though I was upgraded to 500mbps. Is there any configurations that I need to set? Or do I need to buy new wireless router?

Check your cable from fiber modem to router.

Make sure your router lan is a gigabit lan. Connect a cat5e cable or above to your laptop or desktop. Run speed test.

Hello Ree73, thank you for replying. My router is AC1200, the default one provided by TIME themselves. Also, I am connected using cat6 cable but my speed is not hitting 500Mbps.

Is there any configurations that needs to be done?

Did you reset your fiber modem

Those are limited to 2x2 mimo and only capable of 500mbps. As a matter of fact all phones are 500mbps limited to my knowledge.

U wanna 800mbps+ wireless u gotta look for 3x3 or 4x4 mimo. One good one is pce-ac88. Fastest wireless adapter in the world.

I am using 3x3. I already share out ii average around 690mbps

Yes, but you need a good router and be connected to 5GHz AC on 80MHz. I am using C3150 v2 and getting 250-300Mbps speed consistently two rooms away from the router, which is close to my max turbo speed of 300Mbps.

I can get 600mbps with Asus pce 68. But not my t4u. I am benchmarking via fast.com or speedtest.

May I know how are you getting 300mbps? I believe that from tplink GUI is not the actual throughput. Pls try it via fast.com test

Hi Bro,

You mean your ONU no power ? First make a report first, while waiting, try to change a power adaptor with Power Output 12V, 1A.

Thanks.

Any router suggestion bro??  biggrin.gif

Just change my router from TP link ax10 to ZTE ax5400pro+, can reach 900mbps plus in 1G line.
Link speed can get 2402/1922 (Mbps) with 5 meter with 1 solid wall blockage.

Previous tplink with 700mbps, with upgrade to 900+mbps. ~RM450 for the router anyway...

imported directly from China? so how's the setting? Straight forward or do u need some tweak?
*
setting all in chinese, talk to support and only chinese available. ZTE apps also cannot use due to cannot register via local tel number... but can log into router static URL page and adjust the settings.

Get it cheap via taobao 11/11, direct air courier with chai niao....

your ONU is Huawei EG8145V5?

I think 1st revision of the modem. from 15MB plan jump to now 1G line smile.gif Anything?

Some claim Taiwan fiber will give 120%, for 1gbps line in taiwan. With router 2.5gbps they can get somewhere like 1.2gbps with 1gbps plan.

But i tried this it is not true for TIME. Anyone manage to get 20% more bandwidth from TIME?
