Why? I don’t see any better offer from time. Unless you plan to switch to unifi?

Nope, it's not needed for end user

I was tempted by UniFi's migration offer, and a slightly lower speed isn't exactly an issue for me since I'm the only heavy user in the house. wink.gif

called call centre and ask about any promotion for renewing contact for my 600mbps which is due on Sept 25 and they call back and offer this.

you need to ask them to submit the request to the retention or cancellation team because if it's the call centre team, they offer other discount. This is because after my own account, i wanted to downgrade my parents plan to 200mbps

I made a new call and the call centre team only offer RM 10 and RM 50 rebate for 6 months instead so i downgrade the plan to 200mbps and no contract.

Good luck

if ur house has unifi, i would recommend unifi over the time broadband especially now unifi has better deal than time. tongue.gif

i am currently on 600Mbps plan but i dun want to remain in 600Mbps plan so even if they offer rebate i also do not want to renew, i want to downgrade to 200Mbps.

unless i am on now 600Mbps and contract ended time, they can offer me to downgrade to 200Mbps and again discount rm10 or something for 24 months, maybe i will consider. else remain at no contract also better......

My account is contract free 200Mbps and I'm terminating time to unifi as they have quite a good 'jump isp' promotion right now, also I'm moving out to landed unit soon.

Live chat on selfcare to terminate, they will ask for contact numbers and reason.

A day later cs call to offer free 6 months bill + free relocation fee + 24m contact renewal and only able to accept over the phone only. I decline, then they will open the 'link' to terminate on selfcare which are hidden by default. However there are 30d notice to terminate with 1 month advance payment upon submitting the termination request.

Immediately, open a case with mcmc regarding the 30d notice with some template found over reddit.

The next working days, a different cs call me (assuming the one that handling mcmc case) to verify some stuff before allowing me to terminate within 48h and will be pro-rated and refund for the current month

This should be the way. The 1 month advance notice, advance payment & hide the Termination button, are some tricks impeding termination process.

My Time installation at my new place is next week and I already bought all my Ubiquiti gear. I'm feeling anxious hearing about people's ONU profile randomly switching back from bridge mode to router mode.

Is there seriously no solution to this yet other than begging on live chat and hoping they fix it or their technical team can contact you within minutes to resolve it?

I work from home and having my internet cut off randomly while depending on their CS team to not only resolve this quickly, but understand the issue in the first place, sounds like a major pain in the ass.

Especially since I work U.S. hours (our overnight), I fear that this may happen during midnight and I'm stuck until someone at Time can help.

Hasn’t happened to me before in the 10 or so years I’ve been on Time Fibre.

I also work till late in the night and I’ve got a backup connection if needed. My work cell plan has a lot of data for hotspot usage. Never had to fallback to plan B yet.

Ubiquiti's stuff supports multi WAN now, if you live in a high rise, why not consider a cheap 4G/5G modem with like U Home 5G or the sorts and use it as a backup connection if your TIME goes down

This won’t happen a lot. Only happened to me once in the past 2y due to equipment upgrade. If possible, ask the installer to give ONU instead of ONR, but usually they won’t.

You can switch to bridge mode yourself if you know the admin password.

I've asked my TIME salesperson for ONU instead but they said must get the ONR.

Do you know what's the process to obtain the admin password? Or can I ask the installer to provide this?
