QUOTE(UbuntuClient @ Apr 30 2025, 10:49 PM) Currently I'm using Unifi and did not facing such long time issue like this. May consider for changes to Time. I came from Unifi previously. I am forced to use time bb due to no Unifi at the apartment I stay. My experience can confirm that time bb has no significant benefits over Unifi expect that for lower speed plan e.g. 500Mbps plan and below, it has higher upload speed but to most users this is not something crucial since most do not need that kind of upload speed unless one is content creator. And in terms of speed and latency, time bb to me has no advantage also. In fact during peak hours, I cannot attain full speed of my 600Mbps at all, I believe it is due to shared bandwidth for all users staying in the same apartment. But Unifi I have no issue, I can attain full speed with low latency all the time. And now Unifi has retention plan for users who have no contract which they can get 500Mbps at rm99 price per month which is absolutely better deal than time bb now. So conclusion, time bb really has no advantage over other isps now. Moogle Stiltzkin liked this post

Just switched to U Home Fibre (April 2024), is it really this bad? On 100mbps plan but even YouTube at 720p sometime buffer. Is it just me? (I think rarely had this issue with TIME's 100Mbps plan before) Just my short review of U Home Fibre 2025: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Moogle Stiltzkin liked this post

More and more condo are offering small in-house ISPs. Moogle Stiltzkin and jjj2 liked this post

I disabled the 2.4GHz band on my router and left only the 5GHz active but this is a major mistake because there is major channel congestion—my Wi-Fi kept dropping. After making the change, I tried logging back into the router's control panel but couldn’t—looks like I made an amateur mistake and forgot the password.
No problem, I thought—I’ll just reset it. But after the reset, while I can now access the admin panel, there’s no option anywhere to enter my PPPoE credentials. No button, no field, nothing. Is there a special way to enter pppoe credentials on time new router? HG8145B7N Am I stuck? |
