I wonder by Time provides the DIR-882 router to 1 Gbps customers when the maximum download speed for it is less than 900 Mbps?

Hi Bro,

The table chart is a bit confusing but by default all plans come with Basic (Pay-per-use) voice plan with NO Free Dect Phone.
Anyway, you have the options to go for Voice Lite (Add RM2.50/month for 30mins Free Calls + Free Dect Phone) or Voice Max (Add RM10/month for 300mins Free Calls + Free Dect Phone).

Thanks.

I found your choice of site to test the internet connection intriguing.. You must be a connoisseur  brows.gif

Hey guys so i finally had the chance to head to my friends place to test his time connection, yea his internet is 1gbps and it works perfectly however he is unable to visit bet888 and i thought maybe the site is down, but i tried connecting to other websites e.g. googled xvideo on his pc and clicked the link it said the same thing "connection timed out", not sure what to do because i recommended him to get time when they started servicing his neighborhood.

Should i maybe use a different DNS or turn off DNS? or do i contact time however might be a very awkward conversation, and he is asking me to fix it  wacko.gif

IPv4
Preferred DNS server: 8 . 8 . 8 . 8
Alternative DNS server: 4 . 4 . 4 . 4

and it works perfectly fine for me

If google DNS not working then try use Tor Browser (It can run off a USB flash drive, comes with a pre-configured web browser to protect anonymity, and is self-contained , portable) as an urgent fix.

Don't think DIR-850L can hit 500mbps+- via WiFi 5ghz, correct me if i'm wrong.

However, it is achievable via wired connection.

I'm able to hit around 180Mbps only.
If someone able to hit around 500Mbps then it could be my area problem instead of the router.

With 850L I could get only about 250Mbps up and down on 5GHz. With Asus AC86U I can max out my 500Mbps connection, up and down. Client is about 4m away from the router, line of sight.

im having issue with tplink c1200 whereby this router prompted ipv6 to my device even i have disabled it from router itself, TIME will only replace this with dlink 882 once my contract hit 12 months, so now i need to find a replacement while waiting for TIME, any router capable of doing what tplink does except the issue and not burn my pocket for time being? suggestion please.

Just installed D-Link DIR-882 yesterday.

Did some speedtest with my Note 8
Highest DL Speed
Standing Right Next to the Router: 485mbps
In another Room 10meters away (Note 8): 310mbps
In another Room 10meters away (HP PC with Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168): 230mbps

Previously using DIR-850.....i would say DIR-882 is a huge improvement.

However, I'm wondering how come my HP PC can only achieve 230mbps, whereas my note 8 can go above 300mbps at the same spot? Any advice?

Your Note 8 support wireless AC MU-MIMO VHT80 & 1024QAM, I guess much better than your HP PC, PC is normally having very low tech on wireless.

It's actually an All-in-One. I guess its more like a laptop, then a desktop.
