But wifi routers need to return is really ridiculous.

Nowadays all these are no longer true. Even unifi has better price and comparable speed plans also.
*
time doesn’t provide WiFi router now anyways, so nothing to return? I really feel like they won’t enforce it, since they don’t have a store like TM Point etc.

Price is definitely not the final answer. TM has terrible routing rn, especially Cloudflare. And you’ve seen how important Cloudflare is. I would rather pay more to have a stable overall internet.

Only reason I feel like TM has retention plan is because many areas are also covered by other ISPs now, so many are switching over. Back in 2019, when I transferred to Maxis, they never tried to counter offer.

Maxis also seems to offer free speed upgrade and retention plan now, which wasn’t a thing before I switch to Time.

What will happen to my device(s) if I terminate my service?

The devices in your plan need to be returned to us. We’ll coordinate the return process with you. Failure to return the devices in good condition may result in penalty charges based on their retail price listed below:
Device                              Price/unit
Huawei HG8145X6             RM299
Huawei HG8145B7N           RM399
Huawei HG8245X6-8N RM599
Huawei HN8245X6s-8N-30 RM899

If you purchased any devices (routers, mesh nodes), you can keep them and continue using them if compatible.

So only need to return the ONT, anything u bought, is your property.
Checked on archive.org, this was already in FAQ before.

It’s a combo unit now. No longer separate like before, when they still offer asus router etc. The FAQ says have to return those combo unit anyways. But still many people sold it on carousell etc after termination.

Ridiculous, when we subscribe to contract is to cover for the equipment cost they give to us for free mean we own the device right? what a BS
*
Exactly...those previous customers when they signed the contract, not such policy clearly stated that the devices must be returned.

Time bb the speed is really shxxty nowadays. Direct speed test from device also can barely hit 600Mbps even at this kind of hour.

This is also the reason why I dun want to waste money on higher speed plan.

Really miss my experience back on unifi.

No issues here. I think this is due to congestion at your building. Or there is someone heavily downloading or uploading. My area still have people on TM so it’s not congested. This is why we need multiple ISPs.

Tm has routing issues to CF. May refer to https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5149798/+1760

On time, no issues.

Its a 3 years contract as opposed to the normal 2 years. Its a good deal as you still get the free device on top of the waiver right?

Just check if the unifi coverage in your area is good, especially if you are staying in a condo you can probably check with the other residents.
