For those looking for a temporary solution, check-out Cloudflare WARP.

It's sort of a VPN and it's free. Cloudflare is a trustable company as well.

The app will drain a lot of battery?

The latest EU routing issue is due to SMW5 submarine cable cut.

Just did a quick test with several EU host, TIME is consistently 400ms++ while TM is still around 300ms++.

Lucky for TM, they are one of the partners for SMW4, it's still an older slower cable but they got the priority.

TIME is currently routing through SG for their EU connectity or via NTT backup link through USA.

Just shut it off when not using it. Else it'll prevent your phone from deep sleep like all VPN apps.

According to my source, the fault happen somewhere near Singapore within Indonesia's water

It shouldn't take long to get it fixed

Luckily it doesn't happen anywhere near the red sea or the middle east

Forget about M4R & those craps provided by time, go for higher end models such as XE75 if it's within your budget.

What are your sources?

Long time ago I really liked http://internettrafficreport.com/ as you could see if anything is wrong anywhere.

Nowadays however a lot of problems that appear are covered up by CDNs - which on one hand is good as it reduces downtimes; on the other hand problems with something that cant be cached or isnt on CDN arent getting the visibility needed to get things fixed quicker.

Facebook & TikTok users arent effected much means for most ISPs no need to take action 🤬

I got the info from one of my ex colleague but the info should be public now.

Sadly that's how the Internet works these days. I am subscribed to a VPN to deal with situation like this.

Grade C - might be due to bufferbloat on the router. Need to tweak some settings on Asus.

I've been a loyal TIME subscriber for almost 10 years.
I am now paying RM139 (excluding SST) for 500mbps, and they recently boosted to 600mbps for free (which I do not need)

However, I also found out that there are some TIME subscribers who are paying RM109 for 300mbps, and they were boosted to 500mbps for free recently
Hence, I called Time and requested them to match this offer - RM109 for 500MBS, they told me there is no such thing and they refused to match this offer. The manager by the name of S***** sounded quite cocky.
I told her I have proof (official time invoice) to show that there are indeed people paying 109 for 500mbps and then she backtracked and told me some nonsense stories about some contract bullshit.

Instead, they offered me to downgrade my plan to 200mbps for RM99.

I am really disappointed with how they treat their loyal customers like this by prioritising newer customers with lower prices.

300mbps offer was only given to selected people back some time ago (iirc loyalty bonus) and not a normal offering. I actually upgraded to the package for 6 months and downgraded back to 100mbps and never got the offer back ever since.

Ok but why only for selected customers? Isnt that unfair practices?

offers come and go, i don't see it unfair if you didn't grab the offer back when it was available. most of the times these kind of offers are designed to bind existing customers from jumping to other isp.

https://www.time.com.my/terms-and-conditions/archives

can refer here for previous campaigns, as I can see the 300mbps offers were targeted specifically at existing 100mbps users, so if you were not on 100mbps package when these offers were available then that explains why you didnt get the offers.
